@notaflipper, spot on. I had some SNR earlier this year and there were no visibly declared shorts. When a takeover offer came in it triggered disclosures of the shorts below .5% it was astonishing how many shorts below the threshold there were.

Ukraine is marginally closer to Moscow than Latvia, but there again, Crimea is still considered as part of Ukraine so NATO membership of Ukraine may provide the impetus for Ukraine to attempt to retake the Crimea, either as their own idea or from the influence of others,... all NATO countries are bound to attack a non-NATO country attacking a NATO country. A war between Russia and Ukraine still without NATO membership, would actually turn into a proxy war for the USA against Russia. It's actually a very serious situation, extremely precarious. Russia and China are doing quite well at the moment and would likely bring China into a proxy war against the USA. Turkey would likely side against Russia as a NATO country -which is the purpose of their membership. Not sure I want to remain 'long' on anything at the moment and there may be no point in going 'short' on anything either if things turn bad...

Effectively a share buyback of approx. 86m shares and cancellation so from approx. 434m shares now approx. 347m shares. Hopefully quarterly divi to be re-introduced next year. DYOR.

@Gman, I think we're currently 5p below what we should be, but hey!, that's the nature of the market... it don't do straight lines. I had such a great time watching it go into the 50s last time, I can't wait for that euphoria again. GL all.

I suppose it comes down to availability of space. I've seen some street charging ports. My neighbour runs a lead from his front window to his car daily. He gets about 30 miles off the battery I think. The problem with battery cars is that one can't hear them coming.

I'm not even sure what I'm expecting to see in the update, if it's a really good update, I won't begrudge CPI giving them a bonus and a week's holiday abroad somewhere, as well as a celebratory night out on the tiles.

In at least one country they have swappable pnp type batteries -pop one out, pop one in.

@Gman, the 'short' may just be a percentage 'hedge' against a 'long' or a holding. Could be many reasons for a 'short' including a short term opportunity.

Flippa, "We continue to target £700m of non-core disposals proceeds by June 2022." I doubt the £700m has been 'overshot'. We may be close though.
