Retail sales figures out today which beat expectations - I would expect MKS to go north today on the back of this, let's see

Back in here at 127p - fundamentals look extremely good so took the US CPI as a buying opportunity, will add to my holding if it drops further

Decided to sell out here for a 5pct profit, not too shabby - no more company news here until 29th May which is a long time to wait and I think PETS may get caught up in the UK Macro with negative sentiment re interest rates - still think it will do well and if it does dip below what I paid for them I will reload - gla dyor etc

I think it is just the UK Economic Macro atm David - interest rate reductions look like they are on hold, which dents sentiment and shares that have risen the most in recent months are retracing - in retrospect I should have waited to add sub 240p but I didn't think it would get there - will now look to add more if it falls further - in terms of bids/ takeovers - you can see that playing out in the UK right now - only yesterday Barrat took out Redrow - some ftse and mid 250 stocks are now back to their Covid lows so takeovers, bids etc will become more prevalent with UK stocks going forward imo.

Swisscom profits today" boosted by growth in its Fastweb business in Italy." - that imo puts pressure on Iliad - if Swisscom were to go ahead with the VOD purchase that would fuel their Fastweb business which is already performing well in Italy - not good for Iliad, not good at all - I can smell a higher bid coming here from Iliad - I have increased my holding accordingly this morning

Added today at 242.3p - was waiting for sub 240p but I am happy with this price - analysts were questioning a few weeks ago if MKS could hold onto its market share in food and that this had subsequently led to the stock dropping around 15pct from its highs - looking at the NIQ data yesterday momentum in food is still strong, very strong - that is good enough for me to add here with a target of 300p plus.

An extra g and t before dinner tonight is in order for me and Mrs C after another stellar day for EZJ (just tap water for Qube after todays mauling) - personally I think this is the next RR. in terms of a northerly trajectory and you can see that reflected in recent broker recommendations - good weekend all

I think it is sentiment driven JG - BOE holding rates - seen as not good for retail - just a matter of time though before rates come down along with inflation - wage rises have already gone through the pipe so surplus income which is good for retail is on its way - MKS been hammered down on the same basis even though they had stellar results -the UK macro is changing and the tide will turn positive for retail imo - patience needed

Just bought my first tranche here, it looks oversold to me - tend to agree with JG here, PETS expanding and increasing market share and it is a niche service with a go to trusted brand so difficult for competitors to overcome - I see new branches opening around where I live and that gives me confidence, I know the brand well, we have 2 cats and are in there most weeks, service always very good as is their vet offering - I tend to buy what I know and what I see and I see good things with this brand - will add more on weakness

Qube are taking an absolute hiding here - around 4pct down on their latest short and around 9pct down on the top up they did on the 23rd Jan - when you are in a hole stop digging - they must have employed Nick Leason over there

1ontheup - never wrong to take a profit so well done - personally I am selling nothing and will be looking to add on weakness, - momentum now firmly with MKS - they have captured market share in womanswear which is significant - they have also decimated the Waitrose offering - momentum is all and they have it big time now - inflation is falling in the UK and mortgage interest rates are also falling rapidly, add to this the fall in petrol prices, gas prices and food prices and some stellar wage rises that have now gone through - disposable income in the MKS demographic will be higher and augers well for MKS going forward - if it drops below 240p I will be adding with a 350p target

Qube being torn a new ass hole by EZJ today- have to say I am glad I added yesterday at 527p - EZJ currently up 20p as I am typing at 540p - looks like an extra g and t before dinner tonight is in order for me and Mrs C. - follow the money people

US GDP figures just dropped - 3.3pct vs 2pct expected - and inflation held at 2pct - this is massive for MGC - selling its US business into this - wow just wow - they could not have timed it better -

Agreed Sund - ludicrously priced atm with a divi thrown in - some brokers picked up on it just before the results were announced which was a giveaway in terms of loading up - rerate to 7 quid plus is going to happen here imho

I think the EZJ holiday business is way underestimated here - EZJ brand for value sells the holiday and it is playing out in front of your eyes - I have added to my holding again here at 527p which seems to be around the bottom on current trading -

Hey HD - Citibank valued the studios alone at around 3b a couple of years ago - current mcap is 2.48b - which is why I keep adding on the dips - sooner or later value will out

Big call by DB to upgrade just before a trading update - they must be pretty confident for Wednesday - personally I think the results will be good and have added on dips over the last few weeks -
