Ahoy fellow investors

I hereby today issue a Value Alert on KCT. The price looks to have bottomed and Forward PE for FY24 of 8 is way too cheap. Good 2x bagging opportunity once sentiment turns.

This is the biggest dog in my portfolio. Bought it as a recovery play, like much of the rest of the pf, but, unlike much of the rest of the pf, its just continued going down and down.

The GLG short bugs me, as does the continued downward price movement, but I refuse to sell as still believe the recovery will come, eventually. Not a happy camper though!

I’d be more worried as an investor if they WERE settling claims easily.

Probably as much chance as an asteroid hitting the planet in the next 5 years, miniscule to no chance.

If an asteroid DID it the planet it would at least put an end to the misery of VOD shareholders!

Don't through any money at this. All you're doing is paying the salaries of some Israeli crooks until the well runs completely dry and they're not able to extract any more out of it.

I officially raise a Value Alert on this stock. Current dips represent (a good buying opportunity (although the market has suddenly gone more bearish so that's not to say it won't go down further before the inevitable re-rate occurs).

I have today found the answer to my question.

There is chap called Auson who posts monthly short information (including amounts under 0.5%) on various stocks including SFOR, PFC, PURP & RKH. This information is gained from an account he has through a company called Euroclear.

I will look into setting up an account with them myself. Cheers.

A private share notification must be made when the net short position in shares reaches 0.1% of the issued share capital of the company concerned, and again at each 0.1% change above 0.1%.

This relates to both a 0.1% increase and decrease of the position (including each time the position drops below 0.1%).

Maybeoneday that’s not quite correct.

Companies are obliged to notify FCA if their short interest reaches 0.1%, and at each 0.1% interval thereafter.

The notification is only made public however if the short reaches 0.5%.

So there is a process whereby shorts under 0.5% could be monitored, it’s just not in the public domain. Also, if assets managers/ hedge funds give monthly updates of their positions to clients it’s feasible an organisation could be gathering data that way?

I did believe the guys who said they paid for this information, they seemed credible posters. It’s certainly feasible they were making it up, but don’t see any harm in investigating further.

I appreciate the response SD, but I know shorts under 0.5% are tracked by somebody as I’ve heard it mentioned on these boards more than once before (just can’t remember where/by who).

I do recall it gets updated at the end of each month.

If anybody has the answer please I’d much appreciate it. I’m happy to pay a fee for the information.

Gentlemen, this question has nothing to do with LGEN (although I am a significant holder here, its one of my top 3 holdings) but I'm hoping one of you knowledgeable people will be able to help.

A large part of my Value assessment when investing is the level of shorts on a company. I know there is a some kind of subscription service somewhere where you can see shorts that are below the 0.5% FCA publication threshold. Does anyone know please where I can go to get such a subscription?

Lol, even after the drop today, Footlocker is trading on a PE in the 40s.

Put JD on the same PE and they'd be trading in the mid-500s.

As it is, they are vastly cheaper than footlocker. I'm in at a fraction under 160. Which I'm rather happy about as thought I'd missed the boat earlier in the week. GLA.

Well I'm good at appearing unimaginative, and even foolish, for a sustained period so we at least have that much in common!

CV has assessed this is a Value opportunity @127p. I'm in.

I think its better than OK. The business looks strong but the sp stays not far off all-time lows.

Looks a solid buy to me.

I agree Pearls. I was planning to top up today, but this has put me off.

This touched 190p in January, now its down at 104p. I expected a pull back but not by this amount. Unbelieveable Jeff.

Can't believe I'm down on this investment after correctly calling that the COLC wasn't going to affect demand for holidays. Margins are down because they invested heavily in marketing. That investment will filter through to profits. Time to top up.
