What is it with this share, it’s done nothing but drift down for the last year, and the longer term trend is equally bad.

Are the dividends enough to compensate for the capital erosion here, and is thhere any hope the trend might reverse?

888 is a fantastic buy at these prices. Still trading at less than 3x the stated target EPS !

Hi Andy. Top was GROW. A bit surprising maybe as its vastly different from DEC, but the idea of the exercise was to try and reduce any personal bias and measure a big dividend payer (DEC) alongside a growth stock (GROW) on an equal footing.

GROW benefitted from the huge discount to NAV (65%) and 300% upside potential from the current SP (if and when market sentiment turns)

DEC befitted mostly from the massive (16%) yield , alongside reasonable PE ratio and low risk of the sp falling through the floor

Only slight concern I picked up for DEC was the Consensus EPS for FY 2024 was significantly lower than that for FY 2023 (10c for 24 vs 22c for 23). Any thoughts from anyone on why brokers earnings forecasts for 2024 forecasts are lower?

Hi gents. I used the BH weekend to do a deep dive into my portfolio and ranked every single holding according to a variety of factors, including SP vs historic, Risk/Reward ratio, PE ratio, Discount to NAV, and Yield.

2nd in the charts (out of 50 holdings) was DEC. This, coupled with the excellent update this morning, has prompted me to add 40% to my holding this morning, so it is now amongst the most heavily weighted in my pf. GLA :)
