This extract from the teaser Scotforth posted on the web some months ago doesn't show the TE9 location. I was sufficiently impressed by it though to contact Sound by email to ask if we had sight of the Scotforth analysis. No was the answer. But with GRH as a Sound shareholder I am encouraged.
There were some interesting discussions on this board yesterday between GHR and other posters. GHR is involved with Scotforth, who have insight into where hydrocarbons are likely to be located in Tendrara, GHR said that their analysis has an 85% success rate in identifying whether a drill is likely to be commercial or not. In an earlier post in reply to one of mine GHR said he was posting on this site as a shareholder in SOU. So, unless GHR is not the kind of rational person I take him to be, I think the data Scotforth hold on the TE9 location must be promising.
Thanks GRH. I don't read all the posts on this BB so I missed your earlier one. I found the little taster posted on the web by Scortforth sufficiently intriguing to ask the Sound BOD whether they were using this information. I still think its an impressive approach, despite Sound not going forward with it.

I emailed Sound some months ago about Scortforth and they eventually replied to say they had met the Scotforth team but the they would not explain how they came to their conclusions (this from memory, not verbatim) and so Sound did not use their approach. However, we do use satellite data, which is the input into Scotforth
The well design for TE9 is on slide 6 of the latest presentations on the Sound Energy website. I guess I am remembering a previous diagram for TE7 (I hope correctly!). But since TE7 was designed to be a producer in the TAGI and TE9 is to test both the TAGI and Paleo and is not a horizontal well it seems logical they will have substantially different designs. Also we learnt from TE8 that the bore hole neds to be well supported and I guess this has been factored into the design of TE9
Is the delay with announcing a Sidi deal connected with the low sp? We have heard many times of the possibility of a deal at Sidi and JJ has mentioned the possibility of combing our Sidi assets with the nearby producing Meskala field. I believe this is mainly an ONHYM project and if Sound were to acquire it presumably ONHYM would want shares and not a slice of 0ur 75% of Sidi. So -perhaps the deal awaits a decent sp so as to minimise dilution, and if it recovers as TE9 excitement builds then we get the Sidi deal.
