Adam Davidson, CEO of Trident Royalties, discusses offtake milestones and catalysts to boost FY24. Watch the video here.
What did you make of the CERP video yesterday.? Would the exec chairman stand in front of the drill that's been going for 30 days and say I can't tell you how its going except its a lively drill, if he knew it was a duster> By now they will be into the oil-bearing sands and must know if they have hit oil
Sounders - check out CERP, look at the short video's released yesterday
After the shocks of the past few weeks and the many unpleasant and dispiriting posts, I've finally found something to be cheerful about. Like Prudent, I found the Q&A useful and think there is a good chance that - with time - I could get my money back and perhaps even end up in profit.
In the meantime I am anticipating news from CERP and am hopeful this will help my recoup losses with Sound soon.
Long ago JJ mentioned OGIF had assets near Sidi M and it would make sense to combine them with Sounds assets if the deal was right. Maybe we will hear tomorrow it is.
And as for a low-ball offer from OGIF, isn't it the case they can't increases their holding in Sound for some more months with the approval of the BOD
It was always likely there would be a RNS before the CC - if not I've called it wrong yet again.
As far as I recall we have always preceded CCs with a RNS. The CC was then about the implications of the RNS. The CC was booked 3 weeks ago, soon after a FSC. At that stage JP would not have thought - I'd better book a CC in as PIs will be really tee'd of with the newsflow. If I am right that 3 weeks ago he knew a RNS would be announced for Dec13 he would also know there would be cause for a CC. So what could have been in the diary some weeks ago for release tomorrow? My money is still on the GSA.
The BOD are busy people so they won't be doing a fsc and cc just to appease some disgruntled PI's, especially when the last fsc didn't appease them. My guess is the cc is to deal with news coming out before the cc (perhaps GSA) and the fsc is to try to mop up all the negative questions about the state of affairs beforehand so the cc won't be distracted by them. Perhaps Sarah will introduce the cc by saying something like: 'yesterdays fsc dealt with many questions about operations and data already discussed with PI's so we would like to keep the cc for the new information revealed today'
I recently posted about confirmation bias - a tendency to interpret information in a way that confirms one's pre-existing beliefs. I got many responses; and now I ask all of those who did respond to think about their response and ask themselves whether they were just confirming my supposition that many posters on this board are affected by confirmation bias. If you agree with me that many are - and you can identify the ones that are, including yourself - then we can suggest a sensible filtering protocol that means we eliminate posters that add no value from those that do.
For some time I have thought many posters, no matter what their take on the BOD, are showing signs of confirmation bias. I've seen this with all manner of issues (climate change and the Brexit debate being just 2 - which is not to say that differences of opinion are just down to confirmation bias).
There are many good sources of information about confirmation bias. This from Wikipedia:
confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favour, and recall information in a way that confirms one's pre-existing beliefs or hypotheses.
Investopedia ( https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/confirmation-bias.asp#ixzz5Y34z5KmX ) says: The phenomenon is a source of investor overconfidence and helps explain why the bulls tend to remain bullish, and the bears tend to remain bearish regardless of what is happening in the market.
This doesn't help me decide what to do with mu Sound investment but it does explain much of the board chatter.
Thanks eric. Been good to read your posts and a those of a few others too but mostly I don't bother these days. Not to say I am pleased with whats happening to the sp and am uninterested in how things could develop; far from it! Its just I have confidence in our BOD and reading the board can be so depressing at times. I am heavily in (260K shares) but still in profit (just). If it all goes pear-shaped my life goes on. If it comes good, I won't be buying a car or a new home. Maybe some decent footwear. So, not really life-changing however it turns out. I started investing to be able to retire early, but that didn't happen, so switched to supporting me and my wife in old age. But that's caught up with us now. So I am invested because what else would I do with the funds? And Sound still seems interesting to me.
As for the ground analysis, I couldn't agree more. I am also invested in CERP and the CEO says if you want to know where to look for oil in Trinidad just go ourtfor a walk along the beach. You'll soon see the oily patches to avoid as you walk.

I posted a while ago an extract from an email I got from Sarah (May 4 2018) in response to one from me asking if Sound were using the Scotforth data and if not , why not. I guess it got lost in all the flurry of other posts so here it is again:
'Sound Energy technical staff have interacted with Scotforth on many occasions. They have visited our offices and we have reviewed their techniques. We cannot and should not comment directly on the merits of third party’s work. But what we can say is that Scotforth do not share their proprietary workflows and as such it is very difficult to say exactly what their anomaly maps represent'
An extract from an email exchange I had with Sarah Dees earlier this year after I asked if Sound had access to the full Scotforth dataset.
'Sound Energy technical staff have interacted with Scotforth on many occasions. They have visited our offices and we have reviewed their techniques. We cannot and should not comment directly on the merits of third party’s work. But what we can say is that Scotforth do not share their proprietary workflows and as such it is very difficult to say exactly what their anomaly maps represent.'
I for one am pleased by the placing. Thanks bigmj.. I would still be pleased if the sp were to hit 6p or more before the vote.
