Why is it when I ace a limit bid / sale on a ftse 100 or 250 company I can see the bid in the order book but when it comes to certain aim companies you can't .
I know people say MMs but I genuinely though a few investors were controlling the book.
From what I've read our bids get routed through certain aim brokers to provide liquidity on the book is that correct ?

It's difficult to.know but I genuinely believe oilex so will be in a much better place by the time we get to Pre drill.
Hell it's miles better then when it was at .07 and on verge of collapse.
Depends on your investment strategy but for those of us who were here for last drill we know what can/will happen.
I've tried to show why long-term investing in certain locations oil/gas companies will become a dead end game.
Such as US fracking one can see the writing on wall .
India is a very special case and I think if oilex can deliver on the expectation of the drill ,we will be in a very strong position going forward.
We will see .
I'm buying loads of select energy companies and certain copper companies .
Inflations back baby and commodities rock .

On the shores of Seneca Lake in upstate New York, a private equity company has bought a decommissioned coal power plant and converted it to burn natural gas. It then switched it back on to become what it describes as a “power plant-cryptocurrency mining hybrid”.

Greenidge Generation Holdings, the company behind the plant, plans to go public later this year, saying it expects to become “the only US publicly listed bitcoin mining operation with its own power source”.

In a presentation to investors, it says its direct line in to the Empire Pipeline system for gas allows it to produce coins for just $3,000 a pop — a hefty margin considering that even after a heavy recent drop on a possible crackdown from Chinese regulators, they sell for about $40,000.

The company says it is proud of shifting away from coal. It is looking to buy more power plants and vastly scale up operations. Climate activists, however, are aghast that fossil fuels will be burnt to mine crypto, and are pushing regulators to clamp down on this and other similar projects to prevent a surge in greenhouse gas emissions.

But no activist has so far had such a profound impact on awareness of bitcoin’s carbon question as Elon Musk, the Tesla chief executive so fond of bitcoin that he loaded up his corporate coffers with $1.5bn of the cryptocurrency.

Musk said last week he had changed his mind, and reversed plans outlined in February to accept bitcoin for payments for his vehicles. “Cryptocurrency is a good idea on many levels and we believe it has a promising future, but this cannot come at great cost to the environment,” he said.

So if I was investing in an Oil or gas company I would want to invest in one that has current field .

And is in a location that would allow me to drill it.

Brent crude oil has jumped back above $70 a barrel, regaining a level it has only briefly traded at since the beginning of the pandemic and stoking wider inflation fears as raw material prices soar.

The international oil benchmark, which slumped below $20 a barrel last April as Covid-19 lockdowns hammered fuel demand, is now comfortably back at its pre-pandemic level as traders bet oil demand will rise later this year.

The rollout of vaccines in developed countries and the tapering of restrictions is expected to lead to a surge in international travel and a pick-up in the wider economy, while concerns about long-term supplies of commodities such as copper and oil have intensified.

“The euphoria is reflected in the general belief that the economic revival will be soon coupled with oil demand recovery,” said Tamas Varga, an analyst at PVM oil brokerage in London.

He cautioned, however, that the recovery still faces some headwinds such as the emergence of the coronavirus variant first identified in India.

Brent was up 1 per cent at $70.23 a barrel in early London trading, with US benchmark West Texas Intermediate up 0.9 per cent at $66.86 a barrel. Brent briefly traded above $70 in March before falling back towards $60, but has rallied again over the past month.

The gains in the oil price can be partially attributed to concerns that long-term oil supplies may not keep pace with rebounding consumption in the coming years, as international oil companies scale back investments in future production due to environmental concerns.

A Scottish energy company has launched a lawsuit aimed at allowing it to seize the planes of state-owned Air India, in an escalating tax dispute with Narendra Modi’s government.

Cairn Energy is suing Air India in the US to enforce a $1.2bn plus interest award — it is now worth more than $1.7bn — in one of a number of disputes between western companies and New Delhi.

The lawsuit, filed in the southern district of New York on Friday, seeks to establish that Air India is “the alter ego of the Republic of India and therefore jointly and severally liable for the debts and obligations of India itself”.

It is a legal process that could lead to Cairn Energy trying to seize aircraft and other assets as part of a long-running tax dispute, although talks to settle the case are continuing.

The Edinburgh company has identified $70bn of Indian-owned assets globally that could potentially be pursued, including in London.

If the New York case proves that Air India assets are exposed in the dispute, Cairn Energy believes it should set a precedent for other state-owned assets. New York’s legal system is the focus of the company’s efforts because of its record in dealing with international disputes of this kind.

India CEO series: Cairn Oil & Gas says oil price recovery will support India's upstream push
Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta Limited is hoping to double its share of India's oil and gas production over the next few years and is confident that a sustained price recovery will offer plentiful opportunities to invest in the upstream sector, the company's deputy CEO told S&P Global Platts.

We can do it by a combination of searching for new oil and gas, bringing discovered fields on stream and using advanced technologies to enhance recovery in matured fields," he added

Policy support
Sah said that for the upstream sector in India to be competitive, the government needs to bring in uniformity in the tax structure across pre-NELP, NELP and HELP policies. Currently, the pre-NELP blocks face a series of taxes -- such as cess, royalty tax and profit petroleum. NELP refers to the previous National Exploration Licensing Policy, while HELP refers to the more recent Hydrocarbon Exploration and Licensing Policy.

The pre-NELP blocks attract a 20% cess and 20% royalty on the oil price revenue realized by upstream companies. In addition, profit petroleum refers to a pre-determined share of the surplus petroleum output that operators have to pay as part of production-sharing agreements.

"Also, we are hoping that the government comes out with production-linked incentives that will support exploration and production, especially in the pre-NELP blocks, as monetization would be relatively quick," Sah said.

He added that in order to boost domestic upstream production and attract more private and international investment, policy support was needed to ensure that domestic producers were competing on a level playing field with international oil and gas suppliers.

"If an international oil producer feels that they are better off by selling oil and gas to India rather than investing and producing at a local level in India, they will not invest," Sah said.

He added that Cairn supported the petroleum ministry's vision of bringing oil and gas production under the goods and services tax, which would help producers to claim back input tax credits from the buyers on their sales -- taxes that they pay during the production process.

Sah said the company was also committed to reducing its own carbon footprint.

Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta, has achieved a significant milestone by starting production from its NA #01
facility in Aishwariya Barmer hills in Rajasthan. The project is a first in Cairn’s tight oil portfolio
with a growth potential to contribute 20% to the company’s vision production.

The project has been executed in collaboration with Schlumberger. It took more than 900 days and over 3 million man-hours to complete the entire surface facility, including activities like hot work, equipment erection, hydro testing, hot tapping, commissioning, electrical system charging, tie-in with a live existing facility, and well hookup. More than 600 contractors and 50 contractor engineers, in addition to Cairn’s engineers worked tirelessly to complete the facility.

Prachur Sah, deputy CEO, Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta, said, “The ABH tight oil project is yet another example of our commitment to growing India’s E&P sector through the deployment of advanced technologies.
