You just had one of the best in the industry resign from AML and replaced him with a 76 year old Italian. How long will he last? He's been retired for years.
You understand that NO-ONE can work with Stroll, look at the churn of any of his businesses, all the great people leave. Easy to pin it on Moers, rather than take the blame himself. Maybe the place was toxic because of Stroll, huh?
There will be lots of shareholders selling this now Moers has gone, the industry knows he was AML's best chance of turning this around.

Now you'll have another round of people leaving, all the ones Moers hired under him.
Stroll thinks AML can develop EV in-house now, rather than use Merc.
The whole point of giving away 20% of the company to Merc was to use Merc gear to save cash, now 2 years on he is changing course again and doing it in house again.

No plan, no detail, just marketing hyperbole, that's obviously Stroll's forte.

Plenty time for that.

Harry Barnick, an Analyst at Third Bridge, said the shift to electric vehicles was “a material drain on cash” as the company’s debt pile continues to loom over its performance.

“With inflation soaring, [profit] margins are under significant pressure for the full year,” he added.

“Aston Martin could struggle to pass on these costs to the consumer due to its ageing line-up.”

Third Bridge estimated that almost £200m is needed to update one car model.

I am concerned about this. Only 2 month ago Stroll was backing Tobias and Tobias had purchased more shares in the business. Now he is gone. As much as the F1 team is a different entity, it’s owned by Stroll and we’re seeing similar disappointing performance and management shakeup. I’m a long term investor, got in during old 50p-40p days. I’m conscious the debt is rising and the sales whilst better, aren’t setting the world alight. Drastic times seemingly call for drastic measures.

My favourite FT comment on the breaking story:

The ONLY reason AM regained some semi-credible space in an already overcrowded stratosphere was having Moers at its helm. What he did for & to AMG is stuff of legend.

Stroll is a real p1g to work for (no-one works with LS other than Silas) so, next up is a likely haircut / default on the $1.184 billion 10.5% '25 issue & a tanking share price.

Why wold you buy a company who's saviour car, the DBX has flopped, it's DOWN 44% from this time last year.
The is Stroll's ego trying to hide truly awful results. Lurching from one team to the next, no continuity, costs of debt increasing quarterly.

It's desperation from Stroll, these are hideous results, there is not one decent positive metric in there for me. It's game over.
The hedge funds will be all over this.

Stroll has destroyed the brand of AML, he is now going head to head with Ferrari, and will fail miserably.

2022 is going to be a howler for AML.
Looking at £200m loss rather than £125m.
Valkyrie is in real trouble, only FOUR more than the 10 delivered they stated on Jan 4th 2020.

Net debt up, losses bigger than expected, CEO now gone and an old man from Italy in his place.

These numbers will confirm people's suspicions that the growth is not there.
DBX sales DOWN 44%? WTF?
That is a disaster....

By geography, Americas, down 16%, and APAC, down 26%, were impacted by transportation delays. Our home market of the UK was impacted the least by supply chain disruptions, down 3% compared to last year.

The operating loss of £48m (Q1 2021: £15m) reflected:

Net financing costs of £64m were up from £27m in the comparative period, comprising of interest on Senior Secured Notes outstanding and an FX charge of £33m (Q1 2021 included a £5m FX benefit). The £11m adjusting finance credit was due to fair value movements of outstanding warrants (Q1 2021: £5m credit). The loss before tax was £113m (Q1 2021: £42m).

Only 14 Valkyries delivered in total.
