Toyota warned its profits could fall by a fifth this year because of rising energy costs and a doubling in raw material prices following coronavirus pandemic-related disruptions to supplies.

Permian have sold almost a million shares, from 3,900,000 to 3,155,650.
It looks like they are still selling, since they broke the 3% on 5th May.

Demand for luxury cars was badly hit, with sales falling 54%, the CPCA said.

In the Q1 results, APAC sales were only down 26% as the lockdowns hadn't really started.
You can imagine what the Q2 results will look like with a 54% capitulation in sales.
Zero chance of them now hitting their sales target for 2022.

On track for what?

China's car market collapses massively in April

And another piece of bad news from China : car sales there have fallen dramatically due to the extensive corona lockdowns. According to the PCA industry association in Beijing, sales fell by 35.7 percent in April compared to the same period last year. The development thus accelerated again compared to March, which was already weaker.

China is the largest single market for the German car groups Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and BMW. In recent years, the previously rapid growth in sales has faltered somewhat, and in 2021 the shortage of chips in particular caused production problems.

Very nice to see a decent rally today, but I think we need to see a clean break of £12.00 before we can get too excited. We are just closing the gap from the recent highs seen on 23rd February 2022. That was the day the full 2021 results were released, and it traded up to £11.80 in very early trading, before the dump to the recent lows at £7.00. So imho the £11.50/£12.00 area will probably offer some initial resistance but a clean break through there will be very encouraging indeed.

Profit while sleeping easy at night.
And helping anyone who wants to learn along the way.

I called results perfectly again, Stroll's smokescreen failed miserably, and now he has admitted he has no clue what to do about it.
There is NO good news for AML any time soon, and the general market is still way overvalued.

I have bought shares in 2020, pre-consolidated price. So, I am not long time holder. I have had a big trust in company, its reputation, brand, cars - everything they represent and they were. I had big trust in Stroll-Moers connection, in MB, Germany and so on.
I was so wrong. OK - I sold shares few months ago, bought back at about Pound 17, having trust they will climb back to Pound 21-23. Soooo wrong! Shocked where SP is now. I still have strong (wishes) belief all will work out well in best meaning of word. I am not ramper or de-ramper or similar. I started to think to sell all I have, put into crypto. With just a little luck, even more than 30% can be gained in a day, two. With little bad luck, all (a lot) can be lost. Have experiences from there too. Just do not know what to do. :( I guess wait and be quite is best option now - IMHO!!!!
