Okay stated net margin goal on JV produced cabs to MNGS is £1,000 per cab@1,000 cabs is £1m.Agree with you re this being the start of a gamechanger.I have accumulated a big position over the last 6 months and am sticking around for 3-4 years now.There are other big contracts being discussed,but we have to wait and see if anything comes to fruition.The fact that this one came good after a year of negotiation,suggests we have a reasonable chance of seeing further big contracts and making good money over the next few years.I am afraid that I am too old to be a trader these days,so tend to accumulate and hold.But good luck to all short and long term players.

Do not worry-other holders exist.You are in an incredibly high quality company here,but it is a small cap and in difficult markets small cap can be very volatile.The valuation is high,but so is the growth potential.Personally I do not believe Carclo will be with us in 3 years-it will have been taken out.My 2 year price target is over £5 and I have done alot of research including visiting the CIT facility.

Totally agree with your comment on brokers.Personally I am staying in this one until it inevitably gets bid for,or organically grows itself into a £1bn plus company.Trying to trade and time quality illiquid shares is a mugs game IMO.

I think 2011 is all about whether CAR remains an independent company or not.It is a world leader in all its businesses,companies like Nokia will be salivating over its CIT technology and the market cap is a mere £154m.Whether it gets bid for or not I see £5 looming by the end of 2012.

I think it is just continued speculation over Geely.I spoke to the Company about 3 weeks ago and they had no real new news.Also I think the re-appointment of 2 Geely guys to the Board re-affirms the relationship. On our buddy Redhand-I agree if he was sacked by them that is a personal nightmare and not good,but please refrain from de-ramping and getting it wrong.I agree with Khat,this company has issues,do not buy it unless you understand that.But the asset value ex the parts business is 90p and with the parts business is more like £2.40.

Sorry meant to come back to you ages ago on this.The stock level at £23m is high,but that is deliberate as they go through the process of changing suppliers from UK to China and importing the bodies from China.Stock was carried at a high level incase of glitches-it will now be gradually worked down. Did these sack you or something you seem very bitter and twisted and only seem to post on MNGS and nothing else?!!

Some private investors disappointed by lack of deal news have sold the stock down after the results,which if you ex out swine flu were very good.New CEO has only been there since June and has cut the cost base by 25%.They talk openly in the statement about a deal with a Fortune 150 Company-this may happen before Christmas.If so the institutions and market makers will take this up.Last chance to buy.

The asset value I am talking about is 90% the value of the component business.So does not include much else at all and certainly includes nothing for the London site for the very reason you suggest.

What you say is true-but asset value is conservatively £1.50.I doubt we will see £9 again but £2-3 quite possible.Geely do have big plans around MNGS,which include Volvo-which does not have a quote-and their own Geely brand.There are indeed issues with MNGS,but I would not sell here.

Very good point-thanks for that.This makes the deficit really a non issue to an acquirer given the quality of the businesses.I was lucky enough to own both Exel and Chloride,but great companies,but also sitting ducks,both are now gone.I really feel Carclo is in the same league.

Okay just spoke to my man-pension deficit is £140m,which is big for a £105m mkt cap company.No real plans for reducing the deficit,just trying to manage the plan carefully.Defineately stay with this one though.

Really like this stock.Have not found out about pension yet,but have not forgotten.I am sure this company will be eventually taken out.
