I knew it was going to be painful short-term for the West, but to allow Iran to win will be a disaster long-term.

They have an agenda and have had one for hundreds of years, and not being able to instigate a regime change will haunt the good citizens of Iran and us.

Commercially, I believe oil will prove an excellent investment, and given how geared Harbour is to the price, I will be keeping my shares.

The regime in Iran has now had a taste of success; it will get back to pursuing its agenda. Good luck to all shareholders, best get back to the day job and earn some dosh.

Buying and selling around £2.81

I understand that people are concerned about Blair Thomas's sale and believe it is now time for him to step down as chairman.

Linda Cook is holding £26 million in shares, which is a sizable investment for anybody, even after her £2 million + salary, and would have thought this would calm nerves, as Blair Thomas has always made it known that he wanted to sell.

Makes no sense, but difficult to buy anything in today's market, albeit very tempted to increase holdings in all my oil share holdings

Miliband has to go. His policies have been nothing short of criminal, and the only defence he has is that he is so stupid he believes in them.

On a positive. You could say Harbour Energy is in play.

Agree.BASF are now selling, so unless (which is possible) somebody wants a large percentage or to take over the company, we are going to have to wait a long time to make a profit, but I believe in the price of oil staying high, so I will now try to keep the faith and get on with my day job.

Although I am facing significant losses, most of which are in a tax-protected account, I still believe my reasoning was sound when I made my last purchases. I think the price of oil has much more room to increase. Iran isn't going anywhere.

You could just be right. There has been underinvestment in the oil and gas industry for years.

It's certainly possible that there could be frantic buying on Monday after the realisation that the world has changed

My purchases on Monday cost nearly £3 a share, and they have caused me a lot of grief all week. However, my reasoning behind the buy has only strengthened, and I would happily increase my holdings if I could.
