RE: Hoch appeared to rise very quickly at close!20 Jun 2025 14:44
I cannot stress enough how ridiculous your post is. The problems at Brazil prob cost HOC 50,000 oz. Over the year , and for that 50,000 they have a hedge on it of 50,000 oz , if you look at it like that then it’s a disaster outcome and 1 lost year at Brazil as it means the AISC goes up and at best they break even at Brazil. And don’t say that it’s 50,000 group level. They took the hedge out for 50,000 oz to satisfy banks on the build because of Brazil.
To say it’s ok as still in the ground is probably the most ridiculous thing ever to say as gold in the ground is at best valued at 100 dollars an oz as it’s just potential until extracted.
Plus let’s also remember the reserves would be replenished and Brazil will be a 20 year mine in realty.
Please re-educate yourself on mining and business and do not invest if you don’t understand the basics.
To state if they get Brazil back on track the SP will react favourably but whilst most miners are throwing off cash and paying off debt HOC seems to increase its costs and stay static
Imagine if gold didn’t go up from 2000 level this would be in deep trouble
