there isn't any fracking being done..just the water problem.

am I correct in saying it was BP who gave up onland oil exploration in the UK the area known as the weald south of London of which is now being explored by ukog and angus energy ?. was it due to water ? does anyone know the reason they deemed it un - economical ?

That's a very valid point you make B2HS2L re- the water ingress who is to say that water may still ingress at brockham,afterwards It looks like there could be more water all across the wield than we thought. maybe that's why BP, I think it was them decided it was not a commercially sufficient area for oil ,WELL, not from a large company point of view even though there is oil there. Due to water problems they may have come across also, but,how ever this is all speculation and yes it depends on how much trust you have in the logging activity . My question is how much trust do you put in the company full stop?.Alot of people todate in the main have lost a shed load inc myself

Lets not get to carried away RealAnalyst. you may well be right and,i hope you are but, the wells have got to be proven yet to see the extent of the water /oil, and its not going to be tomorrow .or the day after is it? If either turn out eventualy disappointing results the sp will drop however,i believe the wells will have a excellent chance of success and on that note I am agreeing with you on the sp potential. but a lot of people including myself have already lost a shed load of money currently in ,or out of angus , its very very volatile and I would not at this point want to speculate what next week will bring. when you get drops of 20% on the sp but, I would expect the percentage rise the same later,it remains to be seen when but it looks promising. as and when is still not clear at the present time as they could be a lot of investors also jump ship to get their money back. I am pleased that the current board are at least giving updates and it would seem they look as if they are getting their act together but nothing is going to happen overnight logistically for now

at least he has kept his word and given a update, looks positive but looks medium/long term for oil

think i also stated that this price now would be the bottom but,to be honest i am not sure any more. its eating money and not much production, significant production could be 6 months away.

I feel very sad and dissappointed that for now brookham in particular the source of our hopes has been left because as and when further developements occur i agree that but for vonk and the water issue we would be seeing 20p plus however for now this is not the case and i stated some weeks ago i had the feeling it was possible the sp would end up near ukogs if any problems occured . The stark reality is as you know most of you without good news this could be down to 2p its going the same way as ukog. come back in twelve months things may be different but no sign for awhile of any significant developements that would give the good news.For now its a shambles and i dont expect anything out of the year end results either.may be looking at months of this. may be better to bite the bullet for now and come back in lower.i am not just saying this to be peevish, i believe in what i have said right or wrong and i hate to see investors hard earned cash be lost mine included I assure you.or, forget about looking and look again 6 months from now as angs can damage your health as well as wealth and already has.

its easy for a company to be honest when thinks a going great but its infinatly more difficult when things are not. i would like to know why they suddenly switched from brookham ? well the anwer is apparent they had no equipment available for working on the water ingress but,they must have also known the equipment was going to take far longer to obtain,hence moving off brookham, i dont trust this company but, unfortunatly if it hadnt been for the water and brookham the tap turned on for production we would have seen the sp up and above 20p, its a big disappointment for all concerned and its costing shareholders as a result. very unfortunate indeed.

pardon my stupid question but how do you know its bottomed out? i seem to remember lots of people saying this before at other higher prices so, whats so different now? its going to be interesting when they give out the results because i bet you there losses have widened considerably given whats happened re- water. besides if it was straightforward to stop this water problem why would you need a plan if,it was simple to resolve? quite frankly, i believe angus is being less than honest with investors in general.

are you having a laugh? 16p to 4p absolutely brilliant...er don't think so, perhaps if you said 4p to 16p well I would agree then. how about 4p to 2p then? would in your world still seem brilliant then? you must be on something. and if I was a new investor I would be wondering how much lower, after all look at ukog. I don't want to sound dismal but how long is it all going to take because the signs are not looking good short term are they. don't you ever wonder how many people have jumped into this company thinking below ten must get in for the rebound or, below 8 must get in before the train leaves the station etc,etc and I wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend etc,etc
I would say that a lot of investors here would jump out if it ever reached 6p ..so many investors are pee,d off of waiting for their money back,let alone a profit. this is a long term play no less

Its possible but, unlikely due to the recent financial arrangements announced, I believe now due to this that we may well have reached the bottom. the absolute bottom to this I believe would be a mid price of 4. My reasoning on this is they will have calculated the value when accessing the placing to make sure its a success . well,thats purely my opinion of course.

is their anyone insane enough to be out or have sold out and then be out when this rebounds ? er no thanks. its got to a point now when its all or nothing really, any capital loss and their will be plenty just now well, the only chance of recovering this is stick it out ..the problem is not a massive one ,I am thinking about the pressure 200psi its huge.this could be the biggest oil well on land so far in the uk .not if,but when.

So you think your money is SAFE ! after the sp has been bombed out. doesn't look safe to me . I am not saying that what you said about balcome is wrong no, you are right about that but angs is NOT a safe investment and never has been. personaly I believe it will make a come back but the question is how long is it going to be and personaly I think it will go much lower than it is now in the short term. just look at UKOG .what it has been and what it is now and yes its a different company but both have their rods in the same lake.

it would seem now that all the force of the sp on its up track to 16p at the high water mark was built on brockham more than anything else and now...its like a balloon that's been pin pricked . one day it will achieve most likely but, that dat is along way off to date.. I am not a deramper as I will be likely to be accused of but I am being as I see it factual and realistic

I am not questioning the reason I am stating what's a fact its simply what tends to happen in those situations .the only thing that matters to you is the sp both now and later. nothing else counts that's why your in it,isnt it?

I would say at a guess its because of some recovery in the oil price
