Speaking of valid ppi claims I read a short while ago that only one in ten are authentic. .. it reminds you of the BP oil rig disaster in the gulf ,just about everyone in the usa tried to claim from BP ...you know, where there is blame there is a claim culture

What makes you think it is being shorted ? who would want to short this when its at rock bottom levels? NO, the sp is just reflecting its true value. this company everything considered is almost worthless and, whats even worse there is absolutely nothing ahead to enhance positive speculation ,which is what drives the sp up on AIM shares mainly.

no one finds the sp drops acceptable but the small investor is in the main in for the divi because that exceeds a bank savings ac....I don't agree with your remark re-them being planks this is a big company ,this is not the aim,alot of big institutional companys invest here ,why do you think they are in the ftse100. certainly not influenced by small investors.
no.i believe buybacks are for the good of the bank and investors overall but I have to say I don't like them and todate do not seemingly appear to have done anything for the sp short term at least. quite frankly in view of the political turmoil I am surprized the markets have held up like they have especialy when out of company results quarter

love_you ….. loyds is well capitalized and the divi is improving ,you may have a point but why would the bod do this if it wasn't in the banks interest and consequently shareholders. You are just being cynical because you are depressed by the performance which is actualy underperformance but then the whole banking sector is under performing and not just Lloyds, low interest rates and the political situation ,don't forget we have a government full of planks and a Marxist one waiting

Yes its boring,yes its stupidly low,but its just as good as any other bank on balance .Lets face it the whole market is bad today anyway and likely to be most of the summer We can thank dozy lunatic maybot for most of it and the remainer gov clinging on to power. while we have this situation and low interest rates the banking sector is going no where. In comparison to RBS its ahead so why isn't loyds similar sp ? If government owned RBS can be worth over £2 per share why isn't this? Sooner or later its got to perform.

I am not so sure I entirely agree with you, I mean why do you think we should not be entitled to free banking ?
AFTER all we are customers,and its our money isn't it? If you want to encouarage people to use the bank and you want to help your customers and encourage them to save why penalise them? NO you should not in principle charge people to obtain their own money. Don't you think we receive next to nothing interest as it is. therefore they are already getting our money to use practically free. charging for withdrawels is a step to far.

I could never understand why rbs is over two pounds when Lloyds is what it is.....why are they four times the price when most of it is still government owned and, they are not recovering as fast as Lloyds. doesn't seem to make sense to me.. any other opinions on this people?

If it was that good it wouldn't have been so cheap.it could be a pig in a poke. To me it suggests that confidence of commercial oil among the management is not as high as it is with investors,or, they would have put more financial focus on getting it out. The gas field is just incase brockham is not as good as anticipated . in any case I really don't see how they can afford to develop it as they have already required funding for the oil so ,what chance has gas got?...also how do you get the gas to where ever its going? think its biting off more than they can chew, how many more fundings to get it going anyway? All this just my opinion but, is it clutching at straws ?

For once I believe you are right, something just doesn't ring true here, no rig,unless the management think its not worth the cost due to a poor show of oil possibly, the gas field as someone said why would that be let go so cheap,and it would be a big project to pipe the gas out somewhere, too. think the gas is a diversion from the oil because they need to look in another direction which suggests poor results or,why would you not concentrate with all speed on the brockham?etc. My thoughts were and still are we have been taken for a ride..moral and confidence is zero , its true that any GOOD significant news would make it jump but,is it ever going to happen? because, its always been so far jam tomorrow so , I feel happier to sit on the sidelines,you cant lose money that way.
