I followed diandto and got out a while back. There is no point criticing him/her just because the bullish view is falling flat on its face. I remember someone said they would “kitchen sink” if SP dropped below 190. Where are they now. Truth is, if these “massively undervalued” analyses were true, we would not be at 1.50 and falling fast. Don’t you think more powerful people than us have run a slide rule over Saga, and they concluded.... Sell. Suggest you do the same.

Problem is all the income is being attacked simultaneously. If insurance profits collapse, then saga is sunk. I am out now and won’t short, but can’t help feeling this is nearing the end. My sixth sense is that another RI is round the corner. Good luck to all, I just lost a modest sum, suggest you do the same if you can.

Sorry to say that under the current management Saga is going nowhere, we will be stuck sub 2.00 for a very long time. It needs a shake up desperately. I will not be adding at 1.50 or indeed any other figure. In fact I regret going back in at 1.60 and will sell into a rally to 1.80 should one appear.
I am very disappointed because I really hoped we had a big winner here. Particularly when Sir Roger bought in, but all my optimism has gone. A sad day.

Fwiw, have bought back in, 50% of my original holding. Will add the other 50 at 1.50 if that happens. Despite the shorting, my average is still over 2.00, but at least I can see daylight now. If it gets to a level where I can make a profit, I’m out for good.

Fair results, nothing to get excited about. I have my shorts however, and will buy if it hits 160. A score draw BB?

finally, even if the results are Ok, the forward guidance will be so muted as the management will want an alibi for future performance. That will drag the shares down.

Thanks BB, it is a gut instinct but to be fair to me I started saying this at 200. I have completed my short at 168, at least I back up my views with hard cash. Hopefully it will drop to 150 (my exit point) then rise to the sky

About to do my fourth and final short, hoping to see a small rise to 170 beforehand though. Tbh there is so much that could go wrong with Saga. Risk is to the downside imo

I love your optimism BB and a small part of me hopes you’re right because your loyalty deserves it. But sadly you were keen to buy at various levels which are now a far distant memory and I think 175 ish is another landmark on the way down. regardless, you and a couple of other excellent posters are a credit to this board.

I predict the following

average results, SP falls to 168
Good results. SP climbs to 185 before falling back to 180
Bad results. SP falls to 145

If I’m right, and we are all guessing, then selling now is the odds bet.

Assuming all is well as you suggest Magic, can you provide an explanation of why there has been a dramatic fall in the SP. I simply do not buy the positive narrative, sorry.

I was replying to NicName who seemed to want an explanation. I am happy to stay silent, but as most people give their trades/advice on here, I thought someone might be interested in a different strategy to perpetual buying. If nobody cares then I’m sorry to have wasted your time.

Finally I will buy back after the results if it drops to 1.45-1.5, assuming there is nothing too horrible in there.

And your point is... I sold half at 200, sold the rest at 194, went short at 184 and have sold some more today at 181 and will sell again on Monday at 4.20pm

Can anybody tell me if SAGA can announce a profits warning on Tuesday, or are they supposed to have done that already? Thanks
