Hard to imagine what they do all day. At least six months have gone by since this process started, they also announced all bids finalised just after Easter. Hopeless. Thank Heavens they have accelerated their efforts.

When you factor in the relatively tiny profits made, their bonus payments/shares are scandalous. How on earth can it be justified, what criteria are set? It’s not as if they are underpaid in the first place. But hey look at Thames Water and that guy’s bonus. The bosses are out of control and there is nothing we can do about it.

Instead of shares being given for free, they should be offered at a large discount, so that at least management have to part with some cash. Then their mentality might change.

Beyond belief how they keep rewarding themselves for not doing their jobs.

Frankly it’s pitiful that they have had months to achieve absolutely nothing. The third set of dreadful managers in a row.

As the deadline for offers on the lease and lease back has long since passed, and no news has been forthcoming one sadly must assume that they couldn’t get anything worthwhile. Very disappointing if true. I hope the management is actively pursuing options and not simply collecting their money for sitting on their hands.

You are very naive if you think this fall is due a broker downgrade. One or two percent maybe, not over 4.

One downgrade will not make this difference. Sorry, but do not believe that at all. I think the class action is a bad loss and those in the know are getting out.

Apparently a deadline has been set for bids to fund the ships. Some time in April has been mooted, which fits in with May’s loan repayment. Should cause a stir methinks

Scam, manipulation, call it whatever you like. If a real bid was in the offing, we would be the last to know. As per your advice I dropped some more earlier this morning at 70. Happy to sit tight now.

Now that the “takeover” bid has been shown to be a scam to let the big players escape at 71p, we will drift back to 65. I sold some at a decent price, but should have done much more.

I agree Jes it seems absurd, surely no one is that stupid, there must be some rationale. sadly the market takes a dim view.
