MAG Silver (our Juanicipio partner) is down 9% today. The reason for our rise beats me, but is welcome in a sea of red nonetheless.

The Russian Rouble is now so strong (as a result of "Western sanctions") that the Russian CB has been slashing interest rates.

When Russia "soft-pegged" the Rouble to gold back in late March (I think it was), they stated that this would be reviewed at the end of June.

Now...what do you suppose will happen to the gold price if the Russian CB adjusts the purchase price from 5,000 Roubles p/gram to, say, 4,000 Roubles p/gram...

LSE also has it listed as today (25th), which is why I posted.

So in the midst of the worst energy crisis for 50 years, these geniuses think it's a good idea to dis-incentivise energy production, and in particular the type of energy production we are told we must (can only) have? The talk over on CEO.ca Is overwhelmingly negative. Oz produced / cost of production gives a cost p/oz of around $4,500 p/oz.

Slater said "tobacco". He did not say BAT. I mentioned IMB as it's a tobacco stock.

PermaBear, no I'm not. I used Hargreaves Lansdown. They have performance figures calculated for 1m, 3m, 6m, 1yr etc. Their 6m figure for IMB is (just under) 10%. Oh, & I'm an IMB holder.

Where are you getting your information, & what value do you come up with?

Slater, even being selective with your dates doesn't hide your lies. IMB up 30% in 6 months??? A quick look shows they're up 10% in 6 months.

Slater, try telling holders of Imperial Brands that tobacco is king.

I see the bit about the purchase (£122.4M) & paying down the (£200M) RCF, but how much are they looking to raise?
