Nice to see some valid positivity on the boards but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

This may well be the start of a recovery in the beaten down sectors of the markets including retail and including BOO. I know markets are forward thinking but along way to go on what will be a choppy road.

If this is the start of BOO rising again, it will be up and down as be piles of people profit taking on the way up. Me included.

Lets hope inflation continues to fall. We can all do our bit by walking away from high prices rather than swallowing the party line of "Well everything has gone up aint it" and sucking it up.

Funny how they all vanished at the same time.

Be interesting to see the appetite. Hopefully plenty crowds and media coverage.

Rising tide carries all ships and that.

The ability to short markets has basically turned the markets into a casino. And shares become a battle of popularity.

Would be marvelous if we followed South Korea and banned it.

Colder weather needs to come in. Always helps with people updating their wardrobes.

Even if we have a 2 day cold snap, makes people think I need a new jumper/coat etc. That month of wet/cooler weather in July didnt help retail figures at all with summer clothing.

You have to remember this is the only board where you could buy this share at 33p in the hope you could sell at 36p and you would be dismissed as be a delusional ramper by some on here. Including one who when this was £3.50 + saw no reason why it wouldnt be a 100 bagger.

I would hope/imagine it’s been given the award based on sales/demand.

I can’t imagine it’s based on Boots assessment of its effectiveness in scientific measures.

Been invested here for a while but dont really frequent the boards very much. You can take this as anecdotal but for me it was very much fact/1st hand experience.

Years ago I worked in Maritime sailing various seas and oceans. We used to stop in various countries and often stayed for a number of days. One being Sri Lanka. Enhancing drugs such as Viagra were available at the time and the blokes used to by them all th e time.

In short they never really worked unless you had a willing female taking part. Blokes used to take them just to see what happened. Not a lot if you was just sat on your bed on your own.

But "Gee Whizz" was the reply I would get from my wrestling partner when I popped up. So erect it would bloody hurt.

Though if UK Inflation hits 5% by year end and is on track to continue falling into 2024 I shall start loading up the truck Jan 2024 onwards.

Test the theory that riches are made in recessions.

Im not expecting anything exciting to happen with stocks in general till spring 2024.

Though I would heed caution with my prediction as I was hoping for this spring for things to start looking up!!

I feel they do. Mantaray used to do some great casual trousers that were smart enough for work but casual enough for out of work.

I always felt Debenhams was a victim of its own practice. They would have great blue cross sales on a regular basis. Being an older crowd that shopped there and not obsessed with getting things straight away people just waited for the sales. Only an idiot would shop between sales.

I think most true investors take the rough with the smooth and expect it. I find the rough humbling to be honest. Makes me take stock, learn and essentially remind myself its not the be all and end all. So long as the money you use is dispoable and you havent "spent" the money in your head that you hope to make.

yeah funny aint it. i mean i feel for any hard working person to lose money. but to go on like every move they make pans out and they are constantly winning at life just makes me feel a bit hhmmmm.

i am more than happy to say my portfolio is battered. going on current by in prices i am under water and happy to admit so. however, i have been here before and if the cycle delivers like it usually does i hope to be in the green again by 2025. overall i cant lose as largly playing with house money, and in fact previous profits got me a rental property. but even that bast4rd is costing me £750 this month on a roof repair. cant win all the time.

i dont understand when people feel the need to build an alter ego/image online? its really weird. no one knows, or cares who you are so this the place where you should be able to be honest and say, ball sacks, why didnt i wait and buy at 27p instead of 80p. because if my uncle had ***5, and ifs, buts and hairy nuts.

anyway. working from home finished for the day. gym now, health is wealth.

He was encouraging people to hold when this was 58p. So I am assuming as he was advising other people to hold being the honourable person that he makes out to be must have been following his own advise. When BOO was £3.50 he/she was a £1,000,000 up according to his boasts. Somehow managed to still cash in £600,000.

You cant reason with someone who story has no consistancy and in fact changes drastically to ensure he looks like the oracle.

To a point. During Covid, the danger of relying on one source for the majority of your needs became obvious. USA would do well to build stronger links with India, and the rest of the Far East.
