Im not one to talk as I have had my worst year since 2015. But oil heading to $120? Whilst China is slowing down and zilch growth in much of the world? He must have infinite funds with his calls.

I cant remember the last time we had a circa 8% rise followed by another blue day rather than all gains being wiped out.

If it stays blue today I will be chuffed to naffi breaks.

My portfolio is battered. And not for the 1st time in 22 years of trading, I can handle it mentally and emotionally. Of course I wish I bought at the bottom but I know in time I will be back in profit and it will be profit on house money.

In light of H and Ms outlook, if we can hold most of yesterdays gains today I will be happy.

If we green I will be very happy.

Yes I am quite famliar with the pain of stocks moving up and down, and how tomorrow morning we could see another war start somewhere to drive the markets down again.

Though for me I have always seen a dead cats bounce as one last rise before tanking into oblivion. Such as a last tremor/shudder/burst of energy from an animal before sadly dying.

But in anycase I share your hopes for a bull run starting in 2024.

I doubt this is a dead cats bounce.

Best case scenario - Further upside into a Santa Rally.

Worst case - slight pull back and up a bit down a bit side ways till results.

We may get another day riding the wave, but ultimately BOO is going to have to deliver the results for this to keep going.

Im not getting too excited just yet. But I did say

1) 40p is possible in December. Not quite there and it could get to 39.98 and sink back to the 20s.

2) Much riskier shorting this at 30p than or so level than buying.

I still think there are large amounts of cash on the sidelines yet to be put to use by ii's. If they pump it into BOO is yet to be seen. And to be honest with MA buying so much I would have expected the SP to be further north than it is now.

I believe BOE will hold rates. Bad news is good news at the moment to help bring inflation in check.

People need to leave things on the shelf if they are more expensive and the prices will soon come down. High prices cure high prices.

I wouldnt be surprised if they funded some investigations to throw some mud.

I would be ecstatic with a £1.50, but we remain in realms of dreams.

What I will say, its a buyers market with stocks at the moment. If inflation remains on track to fall and interest rates mearly signal to fall that could shift.

Me, personally I think anyone who wants to buy BOO would need to move in the next 3 months. I expect they are watching performance in the USA like a hawk.

And anytime the media have a slow news day and wants to beat China with a stick or stick up for UK Business they will drag Shein up.

Even if Shein is able to go ahead with the ipo I cant see many ii's investing.

Look at the harm it did BOO with the factories in the UK.

I dont intend to invest I just want to clog their message board up with posts telling everyone how f*cked they are and what a stupid investment. Its how I get my kicks and I like to waste my time in that way.

If sentiment remains buoyant I dont think 40p is out of the question by Dec. Certainly feels a little more positive in the general markets as to what 2024 looks like with interest rates.
