Bellers agree with a lot of your posting. Rick Rule,to paraphrase, views investors as those who have done their due diligence before placing their money into a particular stock and are content to buy more on any weakness in SP. Speculators, on the other hand, get nervous holding a stock over a long weekend. Like you I have been buying at prices below the Retail Book Offer - and will continue to do so which is great since my allocation at the IPO was severely cut back. Incidentally the trading in GGP this week has been somewhat strange in that we have been stepped down in a regimented fashion ie there were, and still are, SP 'floor levels' at 315, 310 and 305. Some might say these are 'orchestrated' - I couldn't possibly comment.

Buying opportunity.

I've posted before about FX effects when dealing with a stock simultaneously affected by 3 FX movements. Today illustrates that perfectly since both sterling and Australian dollar are falling sharply against the US dollar. The result so far today is a rising gold price in both non-US currencies which is positive for profitability on AIM and ASX. Over time my view is that the Pound has some way to fall vs USD resulting in a steady upside for the UK gold price.

Stumpy - AJB in my case did not operate as you stated - as has been my experience from first listing on ASX.

Hi Ricardo, just checked my AJB ISA holding on their app as follows:- My holding priced at (guess what?) £3.25. Buy price quoted at £3.2988, sell price £3.2867. These are all AJB prices.

Have used this broker without problem for many years but the consolidation and ASX listing has confused them somewhat. They have now accepted both these concepts but interestingly my holding with them, day after day, lists GGP at £3.25 - regardless of actual SP. A few minutes ago my account showed - you guessed it - £3.25 but trying to buy more was quoted over £3.31. My long term outlook for gold is extremely bullish so hopefully my brokers perma £3.25 may eventually shift.

Am in the market to add at the 15.8 old money price and thought I had a chance today - my broker offered £3.28 (16.4 om) to buy and £3.20 (16.0 om) to sell. Have just placed a limit order now. Spread of ca 2.5% avin a larf.

Would rather the buy back shares held safely in MY treasury rather than used for management bonuses.

FE - I'm seemingly missing something here because (1) I detect no great volatility, so far, in price action WITHIN each of the 2 exchanges - quite the reverse in fact. And (2) the price differential between the exchanges, to me, provides ample opportunity for arbitrage. I follow Charles Archer but don't read current situation the way he obviously does.

Agree that there is a marked disparity between ASX and AIM pricing. Closed, as you say, at A$7.15 last night with over 3m shares traded. That's around £3.40 here.

Amendment - 0.8p old money should read 0.45p old money. Lol.

It has wisely been said that it will take time for GGP/GR to settle down now that we are listed both UK and Australia - and myriad tecent comments show that! Many trading platforms have yet to reflect reality - perhaps their AI systems need adjustment? A colleague is a day trader (I'm not) and just for fun asked him the current price for GGP a few moments ago - he quoted £3.3288. At the same time I placed dummy buy/sell trades with AJ Bell. Their quotes were buy £3.3288 vs sell at £3.3211. I was pleased at the correlation in pricing and then asked my colleague the closing price on lse yesterday for GGP. Result was £3.4200. So at that point this morning the price was down about 9p (0.8p old money) or 2.6% - NOT 8.6 % as shown in this board. The closing price on ASX overnight incidentally was about £2.43 equivalent so very closely to lse opening. Two points - first remember that in nominal terms any current price movements need to be considered in terms of precon values ie 20p now = 1p then and secondly I am yet to be convinced that the ASX trading is reflective of true valuation due to insufficient liquidity. In summary good BoD, good jurisdiction, good product, good prospects and I will continue buying any dip at or below offer price of £3.16.

Markets are tending to suggest that the bombing by the US had solved the main element (pardon the pun!) of risk from Iran - namely U235 enrichment/centrifuges etc. I am not yet convinced for a number of reasons - the Iranians expected their 'known' installations to be bombed and would have been sitting ducks awaiting the inevitable. I don't believe they're that stupid. Secondly an 'unusually' large number of trucks were active around these sites in the days preceding the bombing - verified by satellite imagery. Now the Iranians are stating that their stockpiles and related machinery were, in fact, removed prior to the US bombing. Who to believe. Meanwhile the SOH ever-present threat continues. Are tankers able to insure their cargos through the Straits currently? We'll see, but I, for one, remain to be convinced that everything is over bar the shouting.

AJBell have now confessed that they were pricing GR shares TODAY at AUD$3.16 instead of £3.16 hence an instant 51.49% LOSS today. I repeat it dread to think what chaos we're on for once live trading actually begins in GR stock.

No. My Allocation was considerably higher and once they'd corrected the FX error - previously reported - everything looked fine. Today, however my holding is showing a percentage loss (as if trading today) of £4000. So a holding of £7k+ has been reduced by ca £4k. My total holding of GGP is considerable, I have been dealing for many decades, have received written apology from AJB for pointing out the FX error in their system and now awaiting their correction of this latest glaring error. To repeat. They are treating the newly acquired GR shares as if they are live trading but they are baffled as to where they are obtaining 'live' prices for GR such that my holding if same today showed a LOSS of £4k on my GR holding.

Recently posted that AJBell were charging FX costs on new Greatland Resources stock. I reported here that they had corrected this glaring error and apologised. Today discovered that my holdings of Greatland Resources with AJB are showing a net loss of £4000 even though they don't begin trading till next week. Am awaiting their latest excuses but obviously this Retail Offer is crashing their system. God knows what will happen once trading actually begins!!!

It's all about FX as I've been banging on about for some time. The II's purchase at AUD$6.60. At TODAY'S rate that equates to £3.19 whereas the UK PI's purchased at £3.16 as we know. Regardless it is pointless forecasting future proces on ASX - que sera sera.

AJBell have now corrected the erroneous charges for the GR shares and have just been quoted a price of 16.73p to purchase £10000 of GGP.

You know that and I know that which is why I spoke at length with AJBell first thing this morning to educate them. The broker admitted they had raised FX charges, in error, on all their GR transactions which led to my posting the question on this board why has no-one else previously posted this error - or am I alone on AJBell with this error which means they're economical with the truth in that all their clients were charged incorrectly

Having spoken to my broker they have advised me that ALL their clients have had FX charges mistakenly applied. I am therefore amazed that nobody else on this board has posted this error on their accounts with my large broker. They are investigating the whys and wherefores and will contact me later with their excuses. So be careful in future once GR are admitted to dealing on AIM that your broker is not charging FX on your transactions.
