It seemed to me that the redesigned Phase 1b (1b/2, or whatever), as put forward since SD, was being designed to do several things:
1. Try a couple of dosing regimens (dosage and possibly frequency) to see which worked best for STS - Phase 1b-like.
2. Use doxorubicin as comparator - very Phase 2!
3. Gather data about doxorubicin that are not available in the literature.
Hopefully negotiations with the MHRA, FDA (and EMA) will lead to a, maybe bigger, trial that will indeed fast track AVA6000 to approval but I suspect it would be more expensive and, absence revenue from a licensing deal or two, would require a fund raise of some sort but from a stronger share price base when the results of Phase 1a are made known to the investment, scientific and media worlds.
