Actually not joking JT. Serious. All that has been described here as achievements are what any competent company could achieve with the given starting materials (Bachovchin's IP) by following the drug development process. Where Avacta may differ from others is in the time it has taken.

Where AS definitely does deliver is in spotting opportunities, IMHO.

The pre|CISION platform is the intellectual property of Bachovchin and Tufts. AVA6000 and AVA3996 were synthesised by Bachovchin a lonnnggg time ago as ARI-3099DOX and ARI-3996, back in the early noughties ( https://grantome.com/grant/NIH/R42-CA156930-02 ). Pharmaceutical development is a familiar and well trodden path. There are no Avacta follow-on pre|CISION candidates - if you think too deeply about that then it could be worrying...

IMX-110 is a colloidal mixture of doxorubicin and curcumin in a hydrogel that is injected into the 'tumour immune microenvironment' after resection (surgical removal of the tumour). Curcumin is the pharmacological active (and yellow) component of turmeric that stimulates the immune system.

Phase 1a trials of IMX-110 are as a momnotherapy and in combination with tislelizumab, an anti–PD-1 antibody.

"Tumor shrinkage was observed in 3 out of 4 (75%) patients" is very different from "75% average tumour shrinkage".

The Immix Biopharma share price went up this week because of news about their other compound, a CAR T cell therapy for blood cancers, and the general uplift in tech stocks due to belief that the Federal Reserve will reduce interest rates next year. So, nothing to do with IMX-110.

There are clear differences in how AVA6000 and IMX-110 can be used and, in my opinion, IMX-110 is not serious competitor.

@yeboha, please tell me more about the "Licensing deals Incoming" that you posted as a fact, given that, ya know, Alan's inkwell seems to be a duster.

If they are going to limit the number of cycles of ava6k to the total cumulative amount of dox in the blood that could be a condition imposed by the regulatory authorities.

AS sounded rather subdued/demoralised to me in the Vox interview. Lots of flannel there and in the presentation. Not impressed and not filled with confidence that Avacta can carry this project out. I've listened to presentations by biopharma companies in the UK and US and they speak at a whole higher level of authority and command of the project and to a professional audience compared to Avacta's interaction at retail investor level. There's an awful lot that needs doing to get a drug onto the market and Avacta sounds to me, frankly, like a cottage industry playing at it rather than a slick, focused organisation.

And I'm absolutely sick to the back teeth of AS's talk of deals. They almost never happen and when they do they are weak affairs. After all these years, NO partnering with a decent sized pharma company! Just unbelievable.

Extremely good analysis Sorcerer. That summarises the strategy very well. Id just say, from my non-expert view, that not all weeks are equal and the first week after receiving AVA6000 is probably 2 steps forward as the TME and some unfortunate healthy cells are zapped and the second week a pause for breath before the third week when everything is fully growing again.

It's important to separate the company's short term share price from the company's long term p prospects.

Despite the paucity of detailed information yesterday, the latter is on course. Getting a drug to market takes time, time, time and money. And the process has to be followed. There are no shortcuts except ones that lead to litigation for negligence and fraud.

A regards the share price, the Federal Reserve has just signalled that a pivot to rate cuts is likely in 2024 and the US took off, with small biotech stocks going up a lot. The UK markets usually follow the US lead so we may soon see confidence in small loss-making tech companies return and the Avacta share price rising on the back of that. And that may consequently focus the acquisitive mindset of Big Pharma.

Yes, agreed Bfdinvestor. Phase 1 cancer trials are typically/ethically for end of life patients who have exhausted all treatment options so any volunteering for AVA6000 whilst they have approved treatment options still available would be very impressive. Something not reflected in today's share price movements!

So sorry to hear that tragic story about your sister Muller. Hopefully AVA6000 will bring better outcomes for others.

Can anyone say for sure that they are all buys, all sells, or a mixture? That's a rhetorical question because I don't care for anyone's answer. All I know is that there were a lot of big transactions and the share price went down. Make of that what you will. It doesn't matter until I come to sell.

Well Phase 3 will be needed for indications other than Avacta's immediate STS aim. STS is currently doxorubicin as sole treatment. Others such as breast, ovarian, etc, etc are combination therapies, often not including doxorubicin - solely because of the toxicity and limited possible use. So AVA6000 in combination with other cytotoxins will need Phase 3 to compare against standard of care in each indication and there will be many, many combinations and so many, many trials that will require a partner, probably with the partner paying for the studies and getting marketting rights for particular territories. It's all very standard stuff.
