@benbenbenben, what's happened this week will soon be seen as of little consequence. Nothing has bad has happened with the science - it's good actually - and the company's situation remains the same - obtain some revenue in the coming months or another placing will be needed. As PPL wrote, a lot is lined up before the time when that placing decision would need taking.

I suggest that the data released in that poster, much of it repeated in a more understand form in the RNS, will suffice for now when explained in the planned presentations. Additional material data cannot be given without another RNS (which would look rather chaotic) and is in any case being held back for the full data release, which I hope will be in the form of a peer-reviewed paper - Avacta's first about the pre|CISION platform.

We've seen a lot of uninformed investment opinion about Avacta, pre|CISION and AVA6000, apparently including the latest Deutsche Bank note (which I've not read - where is it?), and apart from the basic truth that small biopharma companies need periodic topping up with cash they are unresearched and consequently not worth fretting about. They do create excellent buying opportunities though as, like yesterday, multiple stop losses get triggered.

Why does the company 'need to clarify the data'? Who does it need to be clarified for? Is there a great mass of educated AIM investors out there eager to pore over the data?

All will be revealed in good time to those who are able understand the data. And that's not the detractors who bleat on about this and that to do with the trial whilst all the time not understanding the first thing about the platform.

This person just demonstrates the ignorance, be it malicious, wilful or just lazy, that's rife in the AIM investor community. Those who understand the RNS - what a 'minor response' means in the context of a safety, tolerability and early efficacy study and that a 'minor response' (10% to 30% reduction) is the first step to a 'partial response' (greater than 30% reduction) - will not be concerned.

That UPS patient was previously (pre- this August data cut off) reported as having 78% tumor length reduction if I'm not mistaken. At this latest data cut off he's recorded as still being dosed and still with ~78% tumor length reduction. So no improvement so no change from what was previously reported. However his length of time on the trial and the number of doses he's had could have been mentioned I would have thought as that information is pretty astounding for doxorubicin.

The value of the doxorubicin and AVA6000 markets are not easy to compare. Not all uses of dox may be suitable for AVA6000 use and as you say, it should be able to give AVA6000 for longer, and to a wider selection of patients, than it is possible to do with straight dox. Swings and roundabouts, but the AVA6000 market, long-term, is likely to be higher/much higher than the current dox market.

Drug are licensed for particular indications (specific types of cancer in the case of an anticancer drug) and only according to a dosing regimen that has been through trials. Thus the initial market for AVA6000 will be small (one indication out of SGC and an STS sub-type) but would grow once additional, common cancers are added, although that will probably be as a combination with one or more other drugs - and the dosing regimens for each cancer type will need to be proven by clinical trials to be better than existing therapies. And those trials will be so expensive that Avata will have to partner or license-out AVA6000 for the various indications.

The stated aim of Phase 1b was to trial in three indications in order to identify the indication to take into Phase 2. Do you think the numbers of patients in Phase 1a with those indications would be enough to make a decision about Phase 2 that satisfies both Avacta and the FDA/MHRA?
