RE: Billion-dollar bets on antibody–drug conjugates12 Nov 2024 15:16
The kernel of my earlier post clearly fell on stony ground {furrowed brow}. Let me read between the lines for those who haven't cottoned on yet...
Big farmers fear making the wrong investment decisions because the wrong choice by the top people, those with their hands on the money, risks not only ruining their company - think a class action if they choose a toxic drug and/or acquisition by a bigger farmer if they don't keep growing the business - but also their own personal careers, although that was not a consideration Alan seemed particularly bothered about, but then he was more a lifestyle farmer than a big farmer.
But the important question is, do big farmers have more fear about making the wrong investment decision or about losing out to a competitor who makes the right investment decision? ...So there may be ADC licence and partnership deals going on left, right and centre whilst Avacta with its PDC appears to be the ugly duckling sitting it out against the wall waiting to be asked to dance but... well if it's not clear by now, then carry on believing the FUDsters when they continue to post their do-dos because, licence deal or partnership - or even takeover, it's not happening ***YET*** (er, full results from Phase 1a not even reported yet...) but once the offers start, many with or without ADC interests will likely pile in. Make your choice: believe the FUDsters or think and make your own assessment...
