Bit alarmed at the amount of shares CEO has sold?

In fairness we have all invested in a safe, steady, boring company which is never

going to set our world on fire. Apart from the Polman era, share price growth has

always been pedestrian but reliable. Polman enjoyed an era of very low interest rates;

did that aid him greatly?

I think personally I’ll be giving Hein and Nelson a bit more time before I throw the

towel in.

Is it possible that the ice cream may bring us all some sweetness?

We have to remember that the stock market is and always will be a manic depressive, it’s what makes it compelling! Folks will always succumb to panic selling for fear of losing everything and wise folk will keep mopping up great companies at cheap prices.
Uk needs Persimmon; it’s land bank and houses!

As zz top said “ she’s got legs” I think I’m going to hold for a while as it’s tempting to snatch a profit,
but hopefully she knows how to use it!

I’m not great at maths but the only thing I can deduce from this situation is: if there was going to be a large free lunch; the table would be filling up with hungry guests and the share price would be further north already? Hope I’m wrong and we all get the steak and chips:)

Firmly believe that this great company has the potential to leave the £2’s behind very soon and be well into the 3’s.

There may be some downsides in connection with current sad situation but have wanted to add these for divi for a while so took the plunge at 15.30.
Surely can’t be expensive at these levels; time only will tell! GLA!

My feelings are that this company and possibly Unilever are great buys right now! Yes they’ve both stuttered with the current problems and may continue to do so for a while to come, but don’t look back in two years and wish you’d filled your boots while the sales were on. Both have great, real products that a lot of people want; ok possibly not for people who expect to make massive instant gains without any risk AKA USA bubble stocks- we all know how bubbles end! Good luck all

I've admired this company for years now but never taken the plunge, however it's now tempting. I think the covid situation could be quite a hangover as more urgent hospital operations are likely to take precedence as hips and knees are somewhat of a luxury( apologies to all joint sufferers!) as these conditions can often be managed with painkillers?
Near term Share price could as easily do £13 as it it could do £15????? Now where's that crystal ball....joint:)

Happy to be a Muppet who bought into AV just over a year ago- and happy to give new management a chance whilst negotiating covid and brexit and happy to take dividend whilst waiting!!!

So the coaches have got back into 1st gear from reverse but I think the road surface ahead is full of potholes! Even without covid hangover we've got rising fuel costs and cost of going electric( will that happen?)
On the positive: the roads are full of movement again.
Is £4 a share sometime soon a bit dreamy or should we just trade the ups and downs to make a few quid?

We all know the risks of investing in the stock market- be it covid, dealing conspiracies or a hundred other things. I think you could do a lot worse than leaving your hard earned in Gsk at the moment- go back to just taking an honest and very good, reliable quarterly dividend( about 6 times what you may earn in some savings accounts- forget trying to make a quick buck for doing nothing. GSK never has been and possibly never will be a high flying stock- it's roast chicken- put it in the oven dont take it out and look at at it every 2 mins and in time it will give you reasonably tasty dinner.

I started buying shares in GSK in 2009 when it was the end of the world for the stock market. The bad mistake i made was not buying a shed load as the price went from £10 to £15 in a short period of time. I dont think it will ever be a get rich quick company and in a way that's what is so good about it. Yes it will always have its ups and downs, thats the nature of this business, however I think you can sleep easy with it, knowing that the dividend return is about 5× what you would get from a boring cash isa. The other and important fact about GSK is the boss is very sexy:-)

I went against my instincts some time ago and paid £3.20 for the shares; wish I'd just put my
hard earned on the dogs.... suppose I did come to think about it!
I shall sell and try and buy them back in the January sales
