I was in at 234 after the warehouse scandal. Out at 366p. I had £4 target but held a little too long after the results and got greedy. Still made c60%. Now I’m back in at where I was last time and saved some funds for more if it drops. Buy order set at 200p in case it gets there. Managed to pick some up at 220p at open today. Thanks 212.

Why do you think all the film companies are delaying their film releases? VOD will not take its place and they know it. If they were going to go that way now would be the time as cinemas are shut. But they aren’t. It’s because the money is in the big release and big screen and they clearly have an ounce of respect for tradition and style!

Haha total applications did. 92% RI take up and over subscription on placing the remaining. Very strong take up and the SP action in the last few days has been stronger than I’d have thought. I did a lot of reading before taking up the RI. I bought more the day before the strike date to increase my RI allocation so wanted to be sure I’d be entitled to the full amount, and understood I was based on the trail. Turns out I’d have been better just waiting for the drop to 90p and buying a load extra then. But who knew...
RE: Oversubscribed/Undersubscribed08 Oct 2020 18:18
Yes if what you’re talking about is a share placing. These are different. A rights issue is different as I understand. For example, company A has 100,000 shares across 100 share holders, so they have 1000 each. They then raise 200,000 new shares which those shareholders have a right to. Each would shareholder is entitled to 2000 shares each. That is the it. If everyone takes their entitlement there is no over subscribing. It cannot happen. All that can happen is not a full take up then the residual goes to open market and that can be over subscribed. The point of a RI is so that shareholders don’t get diluted. A placing is different as you can subscribe for as many as you like and don’t even have to be existing shareholders in some instances. These get oversubscribed.
Yeh it’s just the fx. Good of them to give back. RI was in euro and they had at 88p which seemed high. Probably covering themselves for any increase in currency and then refund any extra. Good practice actually
Haha I opened a buy position on 212 CFD in low 20s and I just closed it. Seems to be fizzling. Not sure enough to short it tho. And I still got my long position...didn’t want to add any more to that in case they do RI. But CFD allowed to me do something positive this morning and actually make some money
So hard to figure out just how oversold that reaction was, especially if this saves the company money and they have enough to tide them over. Any more delays to big films or delay on vaccine would be it though I think. This still has a chance at the moment
Really interesting. I’m in at 59p avg. have been for a while now and will stay in. Was going to open a shirt to cover my paper losses on the leaked closure news. I’ve just cancelled the order in light of the Cineworld response. Hard to know what to do...
