"...that can still being kicked down the road without an end in sight"
Get a grip. In the last 3 years ciz has progressed this test from the lab to the verge of a US launch, solving scalability issues, signing manufacturing agreements, bringing onboard clinical partners like Moffat Cancer
centre, signing a license deal with Ciz Bio.
Bio themselves secured initial funding from HNW individuals and have brought onboard iGenomeDX as its first CLIA lab and signed a contract with Doctors Hospital, which resulted in royalty payments going to ciz. Ciz is now also seeking to progress the test in the UK and Europe (hence the recent Lang funding).
Roll may not be as quick as you would like and have many obstacles along the way, but to claim they are kicking the can down the road is quite simply ludicrous.
And as for the Lang funding, far from being "bizzare", its entirely in line with Ciz strategy to have partners fund the bulk of test rollout, and instead focus on license revenue. But I'm sure Lang will be happy to take advice from our resident cynic and expert in all things - you'll find him on X at GPJersey1
Here's to this potentially life-saving, transformational test hitting the market soon. π
