Buy /Sell algorithm is a very simple one, just depends on which side of mid price the traded price falls.
Possibility at times for both buys & sell to fall on one side or the other side.

The rocks will have imbibed a proportion of the fraccing fluid (after all something had to displace all the gas that produced was (is) being flared off ) dependent on the amount imbibed it could take a while to achieve flowback efficiency.
Agree though it would be good to know what is happening although early days yet.

The MMs seem to be doing their bit to keep a positive appearance by playing with the published bid & ask to enable a bit of blue but as you say volumes are low.
The fact that the company is hoping for a positive vote in respect of ratification of past shares issues suggests that a CR could be on the table, if not then how will they manage Hickory-1?

OIP is a calculation based on best knowledge and certainly gives a view of potential but what is really important is the "ultimate recovery factor" which for commercially viable wells is usually in the region of 10% - 60% per EIA.
PANR have recognised that Alkaid is "tight" so have used a 15% recovery factor which seems very sensible, hopefully they will be able to exceed that figure as knowledge increases and enhanced recovery possibly comes into play, but there is always the risk that the oil has little propensity to flow and that is the "the rub".
As to the future Hillcorp for example are making great strides with polymer assisted recovery, whether that would be viable, possible or necessary I do not know but the industry is always moving on.

Whether it's extraordinary or not is a moot point :-)
Seems to be mainly about ratification of past capital raises and MD's performance package, in respect of the former I believe that once ratified it gives the board movement for future CR (which if Hickory is to happen will be necessary), in respect of the MD's package if I am reading correctly AG has an absurdly low hurdle to achieve his performance rights on top of a very good basic salary (in excess of DW).
But I think everyone should read, make up their own minds and vote as necessary.

Is news delayed or is it just impatience, company has been clear that it's late October before "oil production" taken from last RNS 26/09.

7-10 days from 26/09 for workover rig to arrive, so at worst (if as plan) 6/10, not sure how long that would take to be operational and then a "clean up" phase, company states that a "significant amount of fluid was introduced into the well" so perhaps we need a bit of patience, if fluid has been absorbed into the formation it may take time before hydrocarbon flow.
As for the "flare", do we actually know that for sure or is it just operational (machinery) heat?
would the flare be 24/7?

Wonder what the motivation really is sometimes wonder if it dates back to 2012 and PB's first leases gained against GBP.

Most importantly it is for shareholders to vote at forthcoming GM, certainly it is an easy process with HL via corporate actions, just advise the Co. & GM date and then list the resolutions and of course your decision against each.
