Think Alkaid-2 is quite unusual being an exploration drill on gravel so not restrained by the normal winter season constraints and designed for long term testing, normally flaring from an exploration well is just a few weeks at most.
In this instance it is likely that the well will at some point transition from an exploration well to a production well and at that point be subject to different flaring regulations and constraints, GBP(PANR) need AOGCC to determine when that will be.
At least that is my reading.

TAPS is operated by Alyeska Pipeline Service Company rather than directly by the oil companies, so I imagine PANR (GBP) will be negotiating with APSC rather than its shareholders but I may be wrong :-)

Hillcorp have made their business buying up mature (declining) assets and giving them a new lease of life by increasing efficiencies and the utilisation of enhanced recovery technology, so I am unsure if they would see themselves as an ideal fit for a partner and vice verca.

Alaska is used to drilling in the winter, usually off ice roads and pads, season is short though commencing early - mid Jan and off the tundra by mid -April. Difficult to be exact as every year is different.
Hence why gravel pad at Alkaid is such a coup.

Sure that SLB have been working on this for years and have plenty of transferable knowledge and technology.

Interest one would imagine has been increased by GBP activities, plus GBP 3D is becoming publicly available over the next few years starting with Alcor in 2022 so could increase attractiveness to buyers in.
