Just no time to complete a flow test this season, we are on an ice pad which has a finite life once the Alaska day starts to lengthen, no operator would want equipment stranded.
One could possibly argue we should have spudded earlier.

Hickory-1 is a positive but I think comparing to Willow or Pikka at this stage when we have not even flow tested is premature, for example COPL have I think drilled and tested 10 appraisal wells at Willow, Nanushuk permeability and porosity is probably superior hence some of the good flow test results over there.
Lets keep our hats on.
One point is read the last page conflict of interests, that may be a paid article or the writer may have investment in 88E, just to be aware.

Its a very common practise on ASX , one thing to note is that the company can seek ratification of any share issues via an EGM and thus wipe the slate keen.

We have known that there would not be a flow test this year (since at least 27/02) and that fact has probably kept some investors away.
Had we spudded during early January which is very feasable then we could have had two months potentially to perform flow tests which I think would have been suffient (if successful) to interest the market and move us forward.
I think it may have been the first time in 88E's history since Icewine-2 that we have not dangled the carrot of a flow test,
whether this is realism or as some have suggested a means to keep things things hanging for anothet year I do not know.
As for why Hickory-1 was not drilled on gravel I think that it would be unlikely for DNR to agree to a gravel pad for an exploritory drill ( even if described as an appraisal well), I am sure that costs including bonds would be heavy and in the event of abandonment we would be liable putting the tundra back into the condition we found it.
Now we have drilled and have what seem to be good results it may be that a gravel pad and road could be a consideration, you never know.
As I said yesterday I think the distance between the two wells is actually nearer 4 miles based on Alaska Mapper and GPS coordinates of the boreholes.

Icewine1&2 were drilled on an existing gravel pad that enabled 24/7 access.
I do wonder if the data would support an application to DOG/DNR for a gravel pad at Hickory-1, its not usual in case of exploration wells (GBP had a successful flow test at Alkaid-1) and there will be costs including bonding but it would enable access all year round.

Keefy I have measured via given GPS coordinates for bore holes and also the Alaska Mapper and reckon distance between Icewine-1 & Hickory-1 to be about 4.3 miles.

Just wonder how market will react to logging results even if good.
Flow tests have always been the acid test and unless we are able to persuade DNR that a gravel pad is in order we will be tied to winter season 2024 if we are to flow test and then target KUP.
