Sheps I would have thought that the fact that Cenkos & Hartleys are both involved would suggest that it may just traditional book build.

The Placing is being conducted through a bookbuilding process (the "Bookbuild"), which is being managed by Cenkos Securities plc ("Cenkos") in the UK and Hartleys Limited ("Hartleys") in Australia.
The Bookbuild will open with immediate effect following release of this announcement. The number of Placing Shares to be issued in the Placing will be agreed by Cenkos, Hartleys and the Company at the close of the Bookbuild. The timing of the closing of the Bookbuild and allocations are at the discretion of Cenkos, Hartleys and the Company. Details of the number of Placing Shares to be issued will be announced as soon as practicable after the close of the Bookbuild.

However as ever we do not know what we do not know.

Hopefully we will find out very quickly.

Couple that with placement announced today and just be appy that we are where we are, nothing to worry about, we had a similar spike 12m ago and launched into a long strong recovery, hopefully a few traders will have bought in yesterday and will have to stick for a bit or sell at a loss.
Think there is more news to come, noticed that water permits for Township 4N have all been updated quite recently, think there is a bit of the Boy Scout about big Dave :-)

Reaper unlike many junior explorers we have the majority working interest on most of our leases, for how long we will have to see. :-)

State stopped paying credits in full during the low POO days and reverted to a minimal repayment formula, not seen as good practise by many, Governor Walker proposed the State sell bonds to raise funds to enable early repayment which was planned this financial year (July - June), law passed HB331 but vexatious court case has delayed progress of bond sale.

I am disappointed mainly because of the post from last week which gave some false optimism that the shortfall might not need to be placed, whether that was taken out of context we shall never know.
Otherwise DW has done nothing other than what was said in the Offer Document, sure I do not like the dilution but better a going concern able to pay its bills and have a bit spare for contingencies up to and beyond Winx.
I think a few have very short memories and even less of an idea of the history of the jv and how it has developed, remember you (we) have invested in an oil exploration business that has no income only outgoings, without cash in the bank nothing positive will happen.

As you and Reaper says there are options here, probably best to wait an RNS, can not believe it will be long before we see it, if it is a simple placing or cancelation of same, can not believe a 3B would not have sufficed.

h-h my view is a 3B would (might ) have sufficed, after all they have permission to issue the shares, so best to wait.
As 128K says nothing we can do in any case.

I would have been happier if we had not needed the shortfall placed, but ultimately I do not know the ins and outs or even what the full story is behind the trading halt, hence my reticence to jump on the bandwagon.
