HRZ oil window varies from 8000' - 13000' per Decker 2012, Deeper in the East so based on Dave's statement about temperature seems we may be going westwards, this supported by plans to take pressure cores from conventional well(s).
Think the gravel pad on 392301 was always just a convenient place to start, results from Icewine#1 justified #2, certainly gas & oil summary report (#1 data) suggested possibility of gas & liquid rich zones over 158', do not think that 392301 was ever described as the optimum spot. If you are drilling an exploration(science) well in Alaska why not give your self year round access?

Martin think you answered you own question in respect of Icewine#2, think that any conventional drilling programme next winter (hopefully) will be used to take pressurised cores HRZ to delineate the sweet spot, those sealed cores replete with gas and liquids and uncontaminated will go a long way to proving the HRZ concept and siting of well(s).

Winx would not have been a production well (no infrastructure) so may have given us a short term SP boost but short of selling our interest not sure what cash have resulted.

Although initially disappointing perhaps Icewine#1&2 have given a terrific amount of data that may serve us well in the future,

Yet the mid price is basically in the right place so the Buy/Sell flag is accurate just now.
We often see all transactions buy & sell on either side of the mid price, what it all means I sometimes wonder, the problems of being invested in a sub penny share?
