Gents, I usually dislike Pedro's spam but I don't think he said anything particularly wrong in his initial messages on this thread and I even somewhat agree with them.

SP is in limbo, but also feels like something is brewing with the broker, but maybe that is wishful thinking

Surely this depends on your attitude to risk/reward. Increased risk with a beaten down small cap stock but more chance of greater returns generally.

The trail of breadcrumbs we have been left points to REVB IMO.

Callerone - this is also my fear. I was forced to sell a REIT the other day and I suspect there will be more to come.

UK markets are indeed unloved. I still maintain that more US/Saudi equity will rush in and pick over the corpses of many UK stocks before this is all over and done with.

News coming? Possibly on the MA or USDC front but honestly, I’m expecting mixed trading results and more sideways movement for a while. Never been good at timing the market, so holding. Currently happy with my average of 36.7p

Fair enough Hex. I also said rallying cry of the bears as it was mentioned a week or 2 ago and since started gaining traction. I was genuinely interested in why they think this would happen. In my mind I just couldn't see it as a prudent move unless it they were suggesting a liquidity problem and a cash injection needed.

I would prefer they didn't go down this route, not at the current share price. I think the dilution would out weight the benefits of any growth. If the SP was higher then I would be pretty neutral, obviously depending upon the project being embarked upon.

Parsnip - I think they calculate it over the last 12 months, so July to July, so if the below was true then it is a bit misleading, but also technically not wrong.

Agreed, a healthier liquidity position is much preferred to a minor dividend.

Also I've noticed 'placing' seems to be the new rallying cry of the bears here, why? Why would Umar & MA be buying in if that was on the cards. Doesn't make sense.

I also use the women around me to judge the ASOS, BOO, SHEIN trade going on. I work in an office full of women of differing ages always getting their parcels delivered to work. The branding on the packing bags makes it easy to see what their buying but even then the will often get it out and show the other girls and spend 10 mins talking about it. Not a sexist remark, this is just what happens. From what I gathered on Shein is that it's cost is lower, quality is mixed bag and lead times are longer. There is always a good mix of companies being bought from and I often see the BOO brand logo. Purely anecdotal but there doesn't seem to be a Shein dominance in their buying patterns.

Pipe - I'd argue that being a speculative stock, our future is derived from assumptions and speculations we have now.

The point for me with MA, is that a big player is invested in BOO and willing to buy material amounts of stock at this price. Its not to say MA is an infallible genius, however, in a stock that has been so beaten down, having big players that have on average a very good track record interested in the stock is definitely a positive IMO. Point taken about Norges though.

The point about it not selling off with the FTSE indices is a good one. I have noticed the lack of volatility here and the a relative holding ground on the SP even on big red days.

I cant answer the how here as I was under the impression that poop and scoop schemes were difficult to pull off in reality, then again, I suppose small cap companies operating during such a volatile times such as these would be the perfect targets if it was indeed going on.

Talking about MA's motivations, what are your thoughts?

This is wild speculation, but I do wonder if after seeing the strength of a sports department store where you own the brands or a portion of them, whether he seeks to open a department store to rival John Lewis. Ideally being Debenhams ofc, selling many of the current owned brands plus BOO fashion/beauty and . Possibly an electrical/appliance section branded as Currys/AO, similar to Argos in Sainsburys model. Again this is all wild speculation but would make sense with the acquisitions hes been making and would suit the way he acquires retail businesses for synergies.

Moreover, I'm not entirely sure I am defending T4G here. I think he has some good insights and knowledge but also I disagree on the MM/manipulation front.

I agree with this position, but I don't really believe you here. All I have seen for months is posts like 'bad news on the way', 'going down to 14p','14-20p on the way', 'I think MA buying isn't positive'. Paraphrasing here ofcourse as Id have to spend ages going back through the spam to find quotes, but these type of phrases repeated many times day in day out.

Pedro, if most of the posters here have a problem with you specifically rather than your bearish outlook, done you think this might be the way you post? The endless spam might have something to do with it.

Also I disagree on the sensible discussion front as I really haven't a problem with any other bears here at all.

God dammit people, this is the problem with the filtering argument as you still see other posters replies to the drama. So I ended up un-filtering to see what has been said.

My god I miss the days of DTN/Jongle duo when the worst we would get is T4G getting some ribbing (sometimes well deserved!) rather than the constant spam on negativity which is usually ignored if challenged. I'm not saying I agree with the insults Pedro gets here but when someone is deliberately and maliciously trying to tank your investment for what you suspect is their own personal gain, I can certainly understand it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the family was buying but there's a danger for us PIs in that too. If controlling interest gets to that magic number (70% or something - correct me if I'm wrong there) where they can force the remainder of investors to sell and take the company private.

It is a fear I have with many of my UK stocks that are at or below NAV where I can see them being excellent business come a few years, but also ripe pickings for any equity rich individual or fund to come in and swoop up all the shares.
