Scancell founder says the company is ready to commercialise novel medicines to counteract cancer. Watch the video here.
Ian, please tell me you at least put a bet on KSA to beat the Argies!
Yes, it's been said numerous times. Has it ever looked, on a Monday morning, that being out of Syme over the weekend was a particularly bad thing? When was there a dramatic sp rise between close of trading on a Friday and opening on a Monday which was sustained for more than a few hours?
Elllltelinv, please stop using the word "certain" as this is far from certain. We hope for a unicorn but it probably won't be one of those. A good return would be nice but Syme may yet crash and burn.
It feels to me like the t's are being dotted and the i's are being crossed. This is a frustrating ride but it feels like it's worth the risk. I understand Hofstadter's law and the special case when it's a first of a kind, so I'll be patient until we hit the big time or limp away licking our wounds and learning a lesson!
Lex, I asked a fairly simple question, or so I thought.
Why would people without some sort of a financial stake in SYME spend so much time commenting.
I'm making no judgements on you or anyone else. I don't go along with the ridiculous optimists who are already counting their millions but I at least understand why they might be keen to push the price up. I remain puzzled; all I ask is for possible explanations.
Lex, the thing that puzzles me and, I think, many others, is why Rosie, Castle etc get involved in these discussions at all. I don't see how it can be altruism so what is their motivation? For me, the fact that they keep banging on about how the wheels are about to fall off seems to suggest there might be something here worth hanging on for!
I think it's only a vague sense of optimism that keeps me invested. Although the "you're all doomed" brigade also helps to make me think there' something worth staying in this for. (I mean, why would you spend so much time trying to save other people from losing some money? There's no way they're doing it for purely altruistic reasons.)
Oh pardon me Ell, I didn't realise that one needed to make a significant number of posts before being taken at all seriously. Perhaps you could let me know how many posts I need to make? you know, just to help a rookie out?
I also don't understand why you think calling someone out for making an obviously idiotic statement like it's "a certain return" is unreasonable. Perhaps you could enlighten me on this matter also.
Do you mean from the open offer? Mine showed up as part of my overall SYME holding this morning, bringing my average down to a shade over 0.1p. So I could sell now and make a small profit but I think I'll hold on and see what develops #fomo
Hey Elllll, I'm loving the idea of a certain return; it's not often you get that. If I loan you some money, say up to £100k, we could have a contract whereby you can give me back just twice that amount and you can then have the other few hundred thousand which you have earned through investing my money. It seems like a good deal to me. What do you say?
Or perhaps the return isn't quite certain?
Yes Castle, he said bullish. I think he (and some others) like to remind us that he rather likes SYME and is quite hopeful for a positive future for the value of his shareholding.
Similarly, you (and also some others) like to remind us that you really don't think the company is going to do well.
I think most of us who read this board try to filter out both extremes as they both seem to be based more on emotion and random positive or negative statements. You guys (both the irrational evangelists and the incessant doom-mongers) don't make it easy, but if you could keep the noise down for a bit I think the majority here would be really grateful.
