I think news will land this week mate. They need the funding and JV to be in place so we can crack on. The plant construction is due to commence in May and needs to be completed and commissioned within 5 months. Time to take action now but in true BMR style, it's going to the wire...

Didn't you read the small print in the last RNS, Andy? We now have a Uranium mine. It was hiding in a filing cabinet. JH came across it when he was clearing out his office.

I think both companies would be in trouble if the JV didn't go ahead, that's why it will. Otherwise no plant, no licence, no Kabwe project. I think this private placing is mostly for working capital, we will pay the loan back once we start producing.

Rosewall. Part of the terms of the JV states that JLP can partake in any future share subscriptions. So I'm saying if the JV isn't formally entered into, they have no right to participate in the subscription, if it's not on offer to them. The answer to your second question: I don't know. It depends wether LC wants to maintain the 29.01% holding or not. Maybe alternative funding solutions are being negotiated? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

True, if anything it might help raise more money for BMR if JLP took part, but it would mean more dilution.

moneyhawk, It does make me wonder which will come first, the placing or the JV. I suspect AB would want the placing first. If the JV comes first then JLP will be entitled to take part in the placing, without the JV being entered into they won't have that right... I have a feeling that we are waiting on the funding first, as the JV is just a formality, in my opinion.

Good post, TheWeeble. It's hard to say how the SP's will react to news but I suspect BMR will rise the most with it being so undervalued, it's only a �6m MC company. It seems that JLP won't be posting any significant profits until 2019 so I wonder if the �36m MC is a little on the high side. I'm sure they have plenty of new projects in the pipeline but it seems like Kabwe is going to be the project that produces earnings for them before anything else. That's why I said that the deal will go ahead with 100% certainty.

Aim, don't Barcs charge you more if you do it over the phone? I'd be tempted just to sell and buy back myself, it could work out cheaper. I wouldn't Bed & ISA straight away though as the SP will be volatile once trading recommences. lastoneout, double figures would be great in May but if that happened I'd probably sell out and buy back cheaper. I reckon it would retrace back to 6-7p if it hit double figures. Deffo double figures by year end though!

Even if LSE doesn't do anything about his multiple accounts, at least he's admitted it on here so people are fully aware he's up to no good. If there are people shorting BMR I hope they get burnt when we get back to trading.

I'm sure he'll be back, even if it's under another alias... He must be a big time trader. According to him a 2% rise or fall in a company is worth 200 points. So even at £10pp that's a £2k gain or loss. I wonder which spread betting firm he uses to get those kind of rates lol.

It makes me wonder if an individual or small group took out a few shorts on BMR expecting us to go bust. Now they know we're very close to resuming trading they are trying their hardest to convince people to sell up. The higher this goes the more they would lose. I'm not sure on the rules of declaring short positions but there is a website you can go on to see which companies are being shorted. I can't find BMR on there so perhaps there are no shorts, or they are so small that they wouldn't show up. Either way there will be those that are looking for a cheap entry, looking for a nice rise up, and those that don't want this to move up at all. Just ignore all the noise and make your own decisions.

He might not but it's worth a try. Just taking the bet to prove a point. He said he'll short this so I'm giving him an opportunity to do it through me, and it saves him any broker fees lol.

Paddy, in the world of spread betting a point is a penny, wether it's a long or short position. I don't know where you get the percentage points from. So I'm happy to stick with the original agreement of £250 per penny (point). Also if I win the bet, I promise to give 50% of my winnings to charity.

allthatguff, I'm just giving them a taste of their own medicine, it's a little light entertainment whilst we wait for news. I agree though, it's getting rather boring so I'll make a promise now...
