The negative reporting is a bit misleading regarding Credit Suisse Group’s Saudi backer. According to Reuters the Chairman of Saudi National Bank (SNB) Ammar Al Khudairy actually said he was happy with the bank’s transformation plan and doesn’t think the Swiss lender will need extra money. That is quite different to what is being reported. SNB seem bullish.See the Reuters story below:

Saudi National Bank’s (SNB) chairman Ammar Al Khudairy described Credit Suisse as an opportunistic investment and said the value realisation of that investment will unfold as the Swiss bank proves they are doing the turnaround.

“We are happy with the plan, the transformation plan that they have put forward. It is a very strong bank,” Al Khudairy said on in an interview with Reuters.

“I don’t think they will need extra money; if you look at their ratios, they’re fine. And they operate under a strong regulatory regime in Switzerland and in other countries,” Al Khudairy said on the sidelines of a conference in Riyadh.

SNB’s investment objective is not dependent on time, and the Saudi bank will exit when proper value to the shares is acquired, he added.

The MGC ZAM App is a huge opportunity for MGC's epilepsy treatment, CannEpil, It's estimated that about 1.2 percent of U.S. people have active epilepsy ( 3.4 million people) and more than 65 million people globally. Plus about 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy at some point during their lifetime. In the UK it's estimated 633,000 people are living with epilepsy. The global antiepileptic drugs (AED) market size is projected to reach USD 20.33 billion by 2026. CannEpil could on this basis be worth a fortune to MGC investors and could prove to be invaluable for those with epilepsy. Big pharma will be watching this, make no mistake with a view to licence CannEpil or takeover MGC at some stage.

Spot on and at some stage soon SRA 737 is going to enter stage left, right and centre also. Our BOD have done what any BOD would do and have acted accordingly with the Australian decision. Well done to them. In the short term all eyes will now be on what happens with SRA737 and who licences it and for how much ££££. We know that SRA737's tumour reduction credentials in combination with Astra Zeneca's WEE1, Eli Lilly's Gemcitabine & Merck’s Keytruda are exceptional.

If it is THE Robert Keith I think it is then his investment in GFIN is very interesting and probably quite significant.

Financial Times: "Keith is a low-profile, hi-tech investor best known for his past involvement with Eidos (which gave us Lara Croft). But he also co-founded, in Oslo, what used to be known as Fast Search & Transfer. It’s now called Microsoft Development Center Norway after Microsoft bought the business for $1.2bn nine years ago, and made it the centerpiece of its enterprise search offering".

Yes I agree, with a MCAP of £10million / Sp of 0.31p, the sale of our Taiwanese subsidary for your predicted £2.5million - £3.5million would propel our share price significantly. Exactly right. The current steady daily 5-10% rise in the GDR share price until the NICE news is announced is positioning GDR's share price ready to bounce to 80-100p a share on news. Good luck, Brighty

We should be getting the 6 months results during March from GFIN too. On 9th Feb 2023 GFIN confirmed: "The Company intends to publish its unaudited financial results for the six months ended 30 December 2022 during March 2023".

What we also know is that the Company expects to report revenue of £4.1m; an increase of 26% on H1 FY22 and a 106% improvement on the previous 6 months. We've also been told to expect a loss of £0.8m, which will be an improvement of 47% on the previous 6 months.

Maybe that's why Robert Keith is feeling confident to up his holding in GFIN from 5.63% to 12.02%....

Yes quite right NissanGTR. The likes of SNG from 6p to 240p, NCYT from 7p to 1210p, AVCT from 14p to 215p and SAR from 0.3p up to 9p all followed a similar trajectory of SP gains. They all included the raising of finance from HNWI's and placings then the significant gains really kicked in all the way up. GDR is certainly on the launch pad at 35p to achieve similar meteoric gains in 2023. We saw it happen with SNG, SAR, AVCT, NCYT etc. It does look as though we are going to experience something similar here with GDR over the next 12 months. Patience is all that is required. The contract win relates to YGEN's French subsidiary, based at 65 Avenue Kléber, Paris, whose principal activity is that of a distributor for Yourgene Health UK.

Interestingly, there were 182 M&A deals globally worth $30 billion in Q2 of 2022 alone, a 67% increase in deal value year on year. The opportunity for an acquisition of Genedrive remains very probable. That's why I am invested. Further to the licencing and takeover examples I posted earlier today here are a few more to wet your appetite….

* CinCor Pharma sold for 1.3 BILLION to Astra Zeneca
* Neogene sold for 320 MILLION to Astra Zeneca
* Affinvax sold for 2.1 BILLION to GSK
* Kymab sold for 1.4 BILLION to Sanoffi
* AstraZeneca and KYM Biosciences Inc.have entered into a global exclusive licence agreement for CMG901, a potential first-in-class antibody drug
Other notable deals in the pharma sector in Q3 2022 were:

* Pfizer acquiring Global Blood Thereapeutics
* Amgen acquiring ChemoCentryx
* Royalty Pharma acquiring a significant stake in Theravance

The really encouraging commercial news for GDR is that there were 8 takeover deals over $1 Billion in the pharma sector in Q3 2022. That compares to 4 such deals in Q2 2022. i.e. the hunger by big pharma to acquire smaller rivals for over $1 Billion increased by 100% in Q3 of last year. This is quite clearly brilliant news for GDR shareholders.

I'm with you. GDR certainly has the feel of NCYT, SNG, AVCT and SAR - all of which I was invested in so I know it can / does happen - and they all followed a similar trajectory of SP gains then the raising of finance, then SP gains and more finance raised, SP gains and then significant gains etc all the way up as follows:
NCYT 7p to 1210p
SNG 6p to 240p
AVCT 14p – 215p
SAR 0.3p - 9p
Those stunning rises could well be achieved here. A share price of 34p (MCAP of just 32Million) could quite conceivably be 340p (£320Million) in due course. It's just a case of being patient and not being spooked by a fundraise. NCYT, SNG, AVCT AND SAR all raised finance all the way up to their ultimate share price highs, as outlined above. Most of the gains eventually happened within 12 months. We are now on the launch pad at 35p to achieve similar meteoric gains in 2023. Anything is possible.....

Hopefully now the SVB concern is out the way we can hear positive news from YGEN on its core business.

From the last numbers that were RNS'd we were told things were starting to move nicely.

* NIPT services are up 50%
* The NIPT category up 18% overall year-on-year.
* We were also informed of 3 new NIPT account wins in the current financial year already
* We were also told that Ranger revenue was now over $2.0m.
* Plus we were told that overall Genomic Service revenues were up 26%
* And there's the Ambry Genetics partnership to factor in....

Come on YGEN, lets have a positive update on all of the above soon.

Quite right. Not only is the bank protected with Indemnity Insurance but the bank gets to own the property. Win win for the bank. i.e. Mortgage banking is still by far and away the safer space to be in than casino banking, especially when the market gets tough. SVB is a concern today for the sector & in particular the tech space. Lloyds might be boring but it is operating in a win win mortgage sector where they get the asset if things go pear shaped. Stas is right. The amount of shares in YGEN is inconsequential if positive newsflow starts to happen here. e.g. another of my AIM stocks, Sareum, multibagged x30 from 0.3p to over 9p with loads of shares. Consolidation of the SAR shares only happened after the big rise. Can't see the BOD at YGEN playing any more games with the shares until they have turned the business around. Wait for the YGEN newsflow to commence and then the re-rate of the share price will begin. No reason why this can't be 2-3p a share in due course.
