It's worth reading this recent article by the highly regarded Nature.com https://www.nature.com/articles/d43747-023-00002-6 on the mega bucks being paid by big pharma to acquire smaller rivals with breakthrough products/tech.

In summary the Nature article researched the average deal value. It found the following: “The mean potential deal value of a preclinical acquisition ($359 million) was much lower than that for a preclinical licensing deal ($540 million) or partnering deal ($985 million)”. The summary in the article states: Given the fierce competition nowadays, big pharma can no longer afford to sit on their hands waiting for the next-generation technology to be validated in the clinic.”

Our AIHL MT-RNR1 ID test and our CYP2C19-ID tests are incredible innovations in our sector. In a nutshell, on this basis you are talking hundreds of millions for a licencing deal or outright acquisition of GDR.

What is really good news for GDR investors is that M&A deals in the pharma sector (for which financial details were disclosed) reached $73.1 billion in 2021 and $93.1 billion in 2022. Happy days!

I'm sticking with 80p-100p a share for GDR in the short term but I do think you will be very close with your 100p+ prediction. With an eye on the longer term investment case it is also worth pointing out that big pharma has a track record of paying BIG bucks for smaller rivals with breakthrough products/tech. Our AIHL MT-RNR1 ID test and our CYP2C19-ID tests are both really credible innovations in the pharma sector, which could be worth hundreds of millions for a licencing or takeover deal. i.e. our share price could be in the hundreds of pence in the next 18 months. A credible licencing deal for SRA737 would put us back over 300p a share in a flash and it would also more than likely pay for the clinical trials for SDC1801 and SDC1802. Win win. The fact that Tim was happy to go on the record and say "there have been several enquiries" when he didn't have to when he was quite robust in not answering other funding questions spoke volumes. i.e. it does sound as though we are inching closer and closer to a satisfactory outcome. 50% up today already on this news. Encouraging to note that other US independent outlets are also in talks with AMC following the granting of Over The Counter status by the FDA. That $2Million AMC order looks likely to increase by many multiples moving forward....Good luck, Brighty

In addition to the brilliant OTC RNS today about CimetrA it is also worth pointing out that MGC has announced two excellent clinical results demonstrating full safety and preliminary efficacy profiles in Dementia treatment with CogniCann® and Glioblastoma for tumours. A licencing deal or even M&A activity must be on the cards in due course. Hopefully 2023 will be the year when R&D Depts at big pharma cotton on to what is unfolding here. Those not aware of how HNWI’s buy in to a plc via a subscription should check out the two Sareum RNS’s pasted below from June and July 2021 as an example of how it works. You will see that the £1million invested in July 2021 by a HNWI represented a premium of approximately 4.5 per cent. to the closing middle market price for Sareum Shares on 16 July 2021. The £900,000 raised on June 1st 2021 by a HNWI represented a premium of approximately 8 per cent to the closing middle market price for Sareum Shares on 28 May 2021.

i.e. Not a discounted raise but a subscription at a PREMIUM to invest at a price 4.5% higher and 8% higher than the closing prices. Companies with something to offer – such as GDR – don’t necessarily have to do a discounted placing. They can raise at a price above the current share price. This is something our BOD could and should be aiming to achieve…

Exactly and it's also worth factoring in that funding does not have to just come from a traditional raise. It could come from a licencing deal (which would then provide the requisite finance) or via venture capitalists keen to back an early-stage business like GDR (a slice of our business at the current price will be worth a lot more to a VC in 3 years time, which is there normal modus operandi) or a HNWI could invest several million in to GDR. e.g. HNWI's were investing in Sareum at their current share price or above the share price back in 2020/21. i.e. There are various ways to raise money not just from shareholders. GDR is in my SIPP pension as a long term hold as I expect GDR to be over 400p a share in due course on the back of our world class CYP2C19-ID Stroke Kit and our MT-RNR1 kit. These are big innovations in the pharma sector and will be valued in the hundreds of millions in the next few years. I'm a long term investor seeking x 20 from GDR. 80p-100p a share looks likely short term for what it's worth but I'm here for the big gains in a couple of years time. I have a few x 10 and x20's under my belt and I expect GDR to replicate this success. You have to expect a few yo yo moments to get there. ...Good luck, Brighty

Sit back and over the next 12-18 months watch the GDR share price rise by over x 10. This is a mammoth hold now for big gains on the back of the Genedrive CYP2C19-ID Stroke Kit and the Genedrive MT-RNR1 ID hearing test. Both are huge innovations in the pharma sector. The global stroke market in particular is colossal. In our industry hundreds of millions of pounds - and often BILLIONS - are paid to licence and or buy out companies such as GDR. Big news from MGC today with the listing of ArtemiC as an over-the-counter drug by the FDA and an order for ArtemiC of US$2,000,000

Key points:

· ArtemiC™ has now been listed as an over-the-counter, non-prescription drug status in the USA, following the listing on the FDA National Drug Code Database .

· ArtemiC™ is to be sold at US Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) networks from April 2023, with other independent outlets still in talks with AMC

· Following the NDC Listing, AMC have placed a purchase order for ArtemiC™ to the value of US$2,000,000

· AMC Holdings, Inc. is a Special Purpose Vehicle founded by experienced US healthcare professionals and former federal US government officials to facilitate the research and growth of phyto-medicines in the USA, and sees MGC Pharma as a leader in the sector for the domestic market

· ArtemiC™ Phase II Clinical Trial undertaken in 2020[1], demonstrated a range of benefits for patients suffering from moderate COVID-19. Subsequent trials have proven ArtemiC™ to be an effective anti-inflammatory across a wide range of chronic diseases

* OTC status means that AMC will be able to sell ArtemiC™ via US-based Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) networks, including prescription discount services, from April 2023. AMC are negotiating with the largest US Pharmacy networks, and independent pharmacies for the inclusion of ArtemiC™ in shelf space now that the NDC has been listed. Exactly Guy. For what it's worth one of the key relationships to watch here is the Ambry Genetics partnership. This is particularly interesting as it is exactly the kind of business that could acquire YGEN. Plus we also know that considerable momentum has been happening at YGEN: Genomic Services revenues up 26%, NIPT services up 50%, NIPT category up 18% year-on-year, 3 NIPT accounts won in the current financial year already, Ranger revenue now over $2.0m per year. At some stage soon we are more than likely to hear of some positive commercial news on further collaborations, licencing deals or a takeover. The directors have been buying these shares relentlessly for a reason. i.e. You don’t buy shares in your own company if you know you are throwing good money down the drain. They have been buying for a reason. With that in mind we are surely moving in to a period of positive newsflow in the coming month....

We are certainly now on the launch pad. Our MCAP will be in the hundreds of millions in due course not its current £40 million if this gets rolled out globally. Our value is peanuts currently. Then when you factor in our stroke test, which has a huge world wide multi billion market to target, it's a no brainer to see how big this could become. Agreed. This is what our turnaround guy, Andrew Leeser, has been appointed to oversee. His remit is to turn around the YGEN business. Today is part of the changes necessary to transform YGEN in to the company we all know it can be. i.e. we know that Ranger is on the cusp of hopefully becoming successful for our company. We know that the Ambry relationship good prove to be a game changer and we know that the figures for NIPT services have been growing at a phenomenal rate, according to the most recent numbers RNS'd by the company. The focus for the YGEN bod and for shareholders should be the big amounts being paid in the pharma sector for breakthrough drugs and tech recently. They are seriously eye watering . e.g. Kymab being sold for 1.4 billion to Sanoffi, Sierra Oncology being sold for 1.8 billion to GSK, CinCor Pharma being sold for 1.3 billion to Astra Zeneca, Neogene being sold for 320 million to Astra Zeneca, Affinvax being sold for 2.1 billion to GSK etc etc. That's why we are invested in YGEN. We needed a turnaround consultant to get a grip of our bod and he's clearly started making the requisite changes.
