Not sure how it will pan out for PET but from what I see the billionaires were trying to get a free ride and got caught swimming naked when the tide went out ie the unexpected Iraq / Iran situation. The bod have done what they are obligated to do and informed the market of the naked swimmers. If nothing happened with Iran / Iraq then this would have possibly gone unnoticed.

JGF disagree that clon has been riding pet wave, not correct. If your statement was correct then clon sp would be significantly higher than where it is currently. Overlay both charts you will are that clon move does not match pet in terms of timing nor percentage rise. Different animals ;)

Agree there will be a re-valuation on ratification and then on farm in. I am expecting huge re-rate billion barrel reserves; should be in its 20s at least due to the proximity of the Tano 2a block.

I agree there should be an inverse effect due to the Middle East situation, Africa offers a more secure solution plus the valuation of oil is increasing and accordingly so will the valuation of clons assets.

Fail to understand why the mm marked down clon? No direct impact with PET? Clon is Ghana and granted there is a mutual interest in Pan Andean but clon has no exposure to Iraq. Clon could BO Pet 30% if that became an issue.

Seems uncertainty kicking in in Iraq that will impact Pet, but this is not impacting clon. Inversely the more and more the middle east gets unstable it increases the value of African oil. Money out of Pet into clon.

That’s your choice and decision Onassis. I hold both but a lot more clon due to the fact I have experience in Africa in the business area and always have an informed approach to my investment decisions. As Rise puts it we are near the end game with clon but given the issues in Iraq I am not sure that would be the same their particularly in US election year.

As far as the situation in the middle east is concerned, I have raised this before some time ago but Ghana is secure and under protection from the west. Iraq is looking unstable hence the PET sp downturn. The PET billionaires may be more inclined to focus on Ghana in the short term. Just saying
