I don't get a virus warning and it's a hell of a hoax if it's not genuine. The site it is on is massive with hundreds of articles..........it would have taken weeks or months to put together just for a fake article.

I've only just started to log in here having bought in a couple of weeks ago. I was fairly impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm for the company...until this morning folks.

Can you pack it in please, its embarrassing with all the bickering and points scoring going on.

At last, a sensible post Tillywhiz. I was getting exasperated with all the children bickering this morning.

This is starting to make my £10K addition yesterday look good. Suspect huge numbers of people dived out into cash yesterday and that fuelled a stupid drop across the sector yesterday.

Don't listen to the fluff, the uninformed and the muppets.

Put your faith in your own common sense, the fundamentals and the great advice and research from the LTH's. These include VanV (who I forgot to mention yesterday so apologies) as well as Bramley (the apple of my eye.....ouch!) and ShaunP (a more stable rock than Gibraltar).

They are akin to the Ravens at the Tower of London....we have no problems whilst they remain flapping round the Novacyt courtyard!

In simple terms, its a mechanism that helps liquidity in the marketplace when there is a high volume of share buys and sells.

I've averaged up but had £5K at 842 and another £5K at 872. I think we may have bottomed but if it goes further I'll do the same again.

It's all a bit fraught and worrying for some people at the moment so just take a step back and consider a few facts.

This is a company that is the least of my worries in my current portfolio, and more importantly, that is the obvious opinion of some of the well respected and researched LTH's. I made investment decisions based not only on my own research but I owe a debt of gratitude to people like ShaunP, Bramley and many others. The depth of their knowledge never ceases to amaze me.

Nova has shot up in the past week, perhaps a little too fast in my opinion, and this is just like the previous re-trace, a bit of a balancing out before a preferable (for me anyway) slow and gentle rise to some of the sorts of levels predicted by Numis and others.

The situation may also have been magnified by the current carnage on the main European Markets. All bio/covid shares are having a mare at the moment which indicates to me that it is not Nova that has the problem, its a general sentiment.

Covid is not going away and vaccines are not there yet, or possibly for a long time. Even if the perfect one arrived tomorrow, does that mean that testing instantly stops or plummets? Of course it doesn't. Don't forget that Nova's machines will soon be everywhere, and they don't just test for Covid ;-)

Anyway, take a deep breath, trust the fundamentals and in a few weeks, this will be a dim and distant memory. GLA

Hang on in there Yakya. You have lost nothing until you sell and there is no need to panic (unless ShaunP starts to look worried! In which case it will be Armageddon and the end of civilisation as we know it!).

Seriously, if you are having a little worry, just go back and read some of the RNS's, some of the long term holders (and I mean the people here when this share was in pennies) and breathe easy. It's a bit of a bugger getting caught out buying at the peak but not a problem on this company. IMO of course, but I've bought another £10K's worth today so that's what I think for what it's worth.

I think sometimes it is a good idea not to follow the account balance quite so closely. I made that mistake when I started to invest seriously. My portfolio is tens of thousands of pounds down over the past few days...............but it is still tens of thousands of pounds up from a year ago, so its all relative.

I'm taking a long-term view on every share that I buy. Got into Syn, Val and ODX a long tine ago. My first Nova were at £2.20. I never thought I'd pay mid £8 for more but today has really been an absolute no brainer for me, and even if they drop more, in a few weeks time, this will all be a distant memory.

People seem to have forgotten about the Numis broker note very quickly, what was it that they were saying to their clients? Go take a look at their medium and long-term projections again. This is no pump and dump broker, this is one of teh big respected outfits. Anyway GLA no matter what your strategy and I'm very happy to have a lot in here that I feel is in very good hands.

I have joined you Vulcan. This id now ridiculously oversold by panicking PI's. There's millions in the bank, a raft of new products and a bulging order book. It's a no brainer!

Almost every bio/covid share is doing the same today and the main markets, both UK and Europe are dropping sharply.

Time for fundamentals and to remind yourself why you bought the shares in the first place (unless you are speculating on short term movements). I bought these because demand for what they do is going to be huge for a long time to come. Lots is good signals behind the scenes with ramping up production, employing people etc.

Far too many knee-jerking panicked small investors pressing the sell button and then living to regret it in a few days/weeks in my opinion. Time to turn off the screen, mow the lawn, walk the dog or cook a chilli is a better strategy at the moment. I'm going to log off and not check back for a week. GLA and chill!

The market is having a right old laugh and the target is panicking small investors who look at their account balances and think they have lost a lot. The demand from big investors is massive and they want the shares cheap. If this was as a speculative bio company with no sales then I might have a squeaky bum.................but it is not!

It is the leading testing and diagnostic company arguably in Europe. It has millions in the bank being added to every day. Why in God's name would anyone want to sell this at the moment? (in my humble opinion of course).

Switch off your screen, buy some more or go and mow the lawn. It will all be alright in a few days or weeks when the II's have filled their boots!

HI there yemaj. An 'RNS' is a news announcement made to the market by the company. RNS stands for Regulatory News Service which is the organisation responsible for putting out the notices, usually at 7.00am in the morning, just prior to the shares being traded.

All companies are required to issue news that might affect the share price. An example could be winning a big contract (which you would hope would increase the share price) or a share issue (which in most cases would dilute the stock and may cause the price to drop).

You can view previous RNS's by clicking on the 'Live RNS' button at the top of the LSE page. They are also a good way of looking back at news and developments in the past when you are researching the company. Hope this helps.

Glad to see that the post regarding our frequent poster Sharehunter3 has been deleted.

Getting him to stop would be more difficult than nailing jelly to the ceiling.

I prefer to think of him as the Nova Puppy (we also have Toine on the Hemo board who falls into a similar category). Irritating at times, the occasional tinkle in the corner but you have to take your hat off to him regarding the enthusiasm.

Pretty much so in my view. This has has three days of good growth so it is not going to hit 4p on known news. More of a good solid new base imo
