Over £17 is pretty good after being below £14.

I thought about cashing around £17.60 for a yield of 61p per share which is more than the dividend will be I suspect.
Last year someone corrected my idea of the dividend to come, a said there was a to remember the special dividend that was also due. We'd bought or sold an arm or leg , but I cannot remember what it was.
Is there reason to suppose that there could be another special - I don't know.
The reason I did not take the 61p was I had nothing lined up to hunt another dividend with.
I'll happily spend thousands but bilk at giving brokers an extra £5 and the govt stamp duty (twice if I flip back to HL. after the other dividend is paid). It is nuts I know but in December I forgot to do my 3 trades to keep frequent trader status at £3 per trade, so it has has been revoked and is back to £8 per trade!
One trade in Jabuary is worthless so I'll wait until February or later before I start trading again :O(
10$ fees in AUD is around £5.50 , so I save myself £7.50 (£8-£5.50)*3 to restore frequent trader!
My mother was Scottish in case you wonder where that comes from. Look after the pennies and the pounds disappear anyway might be the motto.

You'll see the special dividend will be a fair percentage if there is one?
HL. dividends are inferior to CBA on ASX but they are too high to buy currently - unfortunately.

The agreement for 2Mw does not exist. Tlou are running the show and the Botswana govt are supporting that by agreeing UP TO 2Mw so we can start generating and selling , within reason, whatever they can get from Lesedi once a generator is in place. The 10Mw is in the pipeline as always , as is 97Mw a ball-park figure Sekaname wanted to make it worth their while!

I don't understand the confusion tbh. The negotiations are for price and delivery quotas and dates which cannot be agreed until the preferred bidders are more avanced than is currently publicised. TG has his end under control , he can agree whatever #4 is capable of currently! Somewhere akin to Selemo I would guess - but Covid relaxation may be needed to build the generator plant. That and the poles/wires will determine the time scale. All imho of course.

Expecting is normally around 9 months for humans, but TLOU is associated with elephants (18 to 22 months) - sounds about right :O)

Nobody knows how long Covid is going to be a problem, so why are Tlou expected to know?

My guess is that the smooth solid lines coincide with shutting of #3 , the reason being that the pressures between #3 and #4 do not settle down as hoped for. Colm explained this in great detail, intersections with the vertical are offset, and water coming out of one was able to penetrate the other - hence the big ripples prior to #3 temporary closure imho on both water increase but gas reduction. High volume outgoing water impeding the gas , increased inflowing water impeding it even more on the other well? An expert can probably verify that for Donk as half the reason we are only using one of them! The other half was to reduce costs during lockdown (pumps and maybe labour costs) so we can get through lockdown unscathed, imho the critical factor!

TG looks as consistent as ever to my amateur eye - and the water and gas rates look fairly good to me since #3 was shut off. I look forward to #4 reaching a slow enough water flow to permit the reopening of #3 ..... that comes before new wells I suspect.

They've upped it to 5c - still far too low but nearer a sensible bid. It is terrible that one idiot can put the frighteners on the unwary! My brokers would not allow this becausethey only allow a 10% increment/decrement on the spread limits. Shame they don't all enforce that! If you are determined to exceed 10% either way it can be done by repeatedly changing the spread by increments of up 10% at a time of course? If an interim offer is taken you are in clover - beating your ultimate target.

My position has dropped thousands tonight so I took a look a quick look to find that somebody has entered 3.3c on ASX as their buy price thinking it is pence perhaps????? Hopefully nobody is fool enough to take their price and things will return to normal once they realise their error.

Just took a peek at WTAN and see they are buying back their own shares which have dropped overnight from over £10 to £2 at the start of June 2019.
Is HL (don't use them personally) comparing pre June 2019 with today's price perhaps? Are they binning those shares t reduce ther issued numbers in and attempt to raise the price perhaps? have to take the dog out so can't spare the time to look for myself. And I'm not invested with WTAN anyway :O)

Hower CBA has risen from $59 to $86.6 whilst I've awaited this moment - so I don't want CBA at that price (AUD) and will forego their dividend again.

If the profit on your average price to the current sell price is much greater than the dividend itself you might consider what I used to do? I'd sell and forego the dividend (for a bigger return) and use the cash in the bank for the inevitable price drop and extra shares in a buy back?
Then I noticed the price doesn't reflect the ex-dividend date like most shares and realised I could have my cake (the dividend) and eat it (take the profit after the dividend is secured) BUT PLEASE DON'T TAKE THAT AS CERTAIN ... for me the worst that happens is I just have to hold for the next dividend and they are twice yearly!
Flip-flopping between CBA and HL. is therefore suspend for a few months but I have paper shares in CBA so I get a decent dividend straight into my bank account in GBP anyway. They usually pay over 5% , pretty good nowadays?

ASX rose a bit last night based on the sell price, having opened at 6c - 6.8c , before dropping to 5.3c - 5.5c , and rising to 5.5c to 5.7c

All 3 trades were at 5.5c so it is hard to believe the first was a buy but the other two were sells?

It seems apparent that you are not wearing a face mask because news of Covid has yet to reach you! Insolvencies will soon be depleting the existence of many stocks far less show price prices! TLOU are weathering the storm with no income - with a figure head who has been in the oil and gas industry for decades. TLOU's share price is determined by investors many of whom are running scared at the lack of progress highlighted on here. Lockdown and no planes anyway are not helping in the medium term but at the company is surviving. The current CPR being provided by the Govt is a breath of fresh air! You simply have to be Donk - good to see your faith in Sekaname is down there with mine.

I think it is fairly certain that the days of burning coal and diesel are very short term measures.

The CBM target of 10Mw in 5 years is not a governemt target imho, it is the reality of TLOU's planning - BUT , in 5 years it could be a hell of a lot more than 10Mw once dewatering is complete and Lesedi and Mamba have moved on apace
in that period.

TG has never fully committed to supplying Botswana exclusively because there is a much wider market in Southern Africa.
If Eskom don't recover then South Africa alone could keep us in business. My faith in TG is well founded and two successes is a better precursor to a third success than a couple of failures! If TLOU fail to produce 10Mw then it is almost certain they would have failed to produce 100Mw too.

Once 10Mw is in the bag expansion is open ended! If Mamba produces water that mimics Selemo I can see Mamba becoming the priority, at the expense of Lesedi , but hopefully Lesedi will soon be dry enough that we'll have both facilities vying for top producer, if finances stretch to a second drill?

The history is that only 2 bids were accepted originally.
Then the Govt messed up the RFP by insisting on companies having previous CBM history in Botswana so neither met the demand! I reckon that proviso was not dedacted from the many coal RFP templates and neither TLOU or Sekaname expected them to enforce it? I'm pleased in a way the Govt acted as they did to save conceivable objections later but it shafted us for both for sure.

They were invited to resubmit their proposals given an amended agenda which allowed them (and no newcomers) to be considered.
Mine methane is in its infancy ...... it has 40 years to live unless battery technology improves massively to support solar.
Once batteries are realised to be the next pariah from all those electrical scrap cars, wait for the huge taxes on batteries and CBM driven car to be the next flavour of the century :O)
