i credited the company for getting the exploitation agreement done and it was welcoming to see the licence for cascabel renewed but what does that amount to in the broader context? not a whole heap. ecuador is telling us cascabel is a go on its terms but it ultimately boils down to whether solg can keep it moving and stay in the game.

by all means crack on telling everyone everything is hunky dory. ignore the very valid points raised by the likes of dm & sm. you admitted yourself earlier that the prospect of a mates rates sale of the treasury shares concerns you, so with an opinion like that, i struggle to see how you're maintaining a positive long term outlook.

It's just a renewal of the concession. It's not a mining or exploitation licence. We've simply rolled over the PL area we currently have.

The mining concession renewal was pretty straightforward in my view. A little bit more to the exploitation agreement but was it really any different to publishing a PFS and initial IPA as we did under Cazzubbo?

Eloro - you've got to remember with Warren he had no way of cashing Rosseau out of Cornerstone. The prospects of doing the same at SolGold are little better right now, both in terms of price and liquidity.

There's many many examples of where sub par offers are successful because of poor management in the lead up to them.

You need to look a bit further. It's widely recognised in junior mining circles that good management can deliver good share price performance on a bad asset and bad management can ruin a good asset.

The problem with SolGold is it has convinced us investors that it can only work on one thing at a time.

I'm not sure what current headcount is but even with 100 employees the company should be capable of multitasking.

Bob and Dan are leading the SR and I'd assume their being contracted, so it still leaves 100 employees to manage comms with govt, work on a Cascabel optimisation, do some regional exploration, update the website, etc.

But we seem incapable.

Yes - this isn't an orphan period in the way the asset development cycle means.

The asset development cycle relies on a middle chunk where exploration subsides and studies take priority.

SOLG released the PFS 16 months ago. They're not working on making that study bankable.

We're in a period of prolonged drift because Cascabel isn't really viable unless they come up with a smart way to get at the high grade core earlier and someone with deep pockets agrees to take it on.

As much as none of us like this it is a distressed asset of significance.
