I must admit to being disappointed there has been no news this week.

I can't believe they'd do a presentation with RedCloud and then do an informal meet with investor with little to nothing to talk about since the mid December update.

I never said you did, but you're seemingly at pains to point out the negative outlook of DGR investors and I'm simply saying that I don't think many of them understand what they've bought.

My view is that investors don't understand the risks when it comes to investment companies like DGR. DGR, as anyone with a few brain cells will know, is a project incubator. They put projects into unlisted companies and get them exposure to capital markets. This means dilution at sub-company level or dilution at DGR level with DGR cornerstoning the company. It's the name of the game.

Anyone who has bought DGR as a long term play is frankly not very bright. The idea should always to be use that company to identify other promising plays in the stable.

That isn't to say Mather hasn't made any mistakes. I'm sure he has chased Armour Energy further than he should, but again investors can vote with their feet at any time.

DGR could be a fantastic play short term if SOLG comes to fruition.

TRLS was a £1m tiddler that has done a (what looks a relatively modest) deal with a household name, hence the bags on the day.

Fair play to them but they'd fallen some way.

The difference with SOLG is that we're still at £200m market cap and nobody has made an offer management believes is compelling enough to put to shareholders.

There is a path back to £1bn (or 35p in new money) but it needs to be well executed. Without a chairman and an IR dept and any exploration drilling, we're not giving ourselves much chance.

For a guy in the field of investor relations to say "stocks only go up when companies achieve real things...." helps explain why everything is a bit of a struggle and has been the last 12-18 months.

Stocks go up when they are managed well or communicate with the market well. End.

I'm no fan of Bob but I can believe he tried his level best in 2022/23. However, it didn't come off and here we are today.

We need to see the green shoots in 2025. We'll know if they're going to present themselves over the next couple of updates I suspect and we need to see the company make a fresh attempt at gaining traction after the elections starting with the AIPA and following on with the FS, mine plans and permit apps.

Fort - we're not all traders. You're absolutely right - in hindsight I should have sold my holding and bought it back. However, trading isn't my forte. I also didn't think the stock would fall so much. You can add to that the potential that existed within the realms of the SR for a transformational event to occur without there being time to reassess the investment case.

You must respect, and I've said this all along, that we're not all here to talk our books, to ramp others into buying more stock in order to facilitate our trading. I contribute to the discussion and I hold my stock, that is it. Nobody is obligated to be positive because they hold - that is backward thinking that stems from disingenuous minds.

Similarly, I wouldn't worry about my loss making. It doesn't concern me so it shouldn't concern you. That's the game, we'll win some and we'll lose some.

You can say you don't agree. That is fine. We haven't agreed on much where SolGold is concerned for some time. That's what makes a discussion board. You should lay off the patronising insults however as one of us has called the last couple of years quite well and the other has continued to ramp the stock incessantly with big picture fantasies and dreams of Noront v2.

Everyone here knows who is who. History shows that and nothing you say now can change it.

I agree re the 48 hour rule but I was of the understanding that there were exceptions. Something I need to check at some point as it can get lost amongst the discourse.

As for exciting the market, I think any TR1 would cause a brief spike.

So let's say BHP bought 5% more for under 15p. TR1 could push it to 20-25. Then over time it would settle back into a down trend as traders de-risk and look for new entry points. There would probably be good support in the 12-15 range.

So admittedly it would push the stock into a new trading range but still nowhere near historic highs.

You're the one that's digging Fort. Just look at all that diatribe you have just posted about share purchases made years ago that you're naively trying to qualify with "always follow the money".

A question for you. Did Norges tell us every time they went through a % threshold when they first accumulated? From memory I don't believe they did. Why? No doubt due to the rules that you don't have to notify the market until your buying has completed.

As to whether they can buy 5 % at these levels... I think they could. That's about 150m shares. It would likely take a couple of trading days to clear the current logjam and it may take a month or so to achieve but they'd do it if managed correctly. The SP would probably do 100% in the process but they'd still be comfortably in under the 20p you speak of. Their buying would in turn increase liquidity as swing traders slice at their holdings in the 10-12p range and that would make things easier for them to accumulate aggressively once the shares begin churning. Standard market mechanics.

I'd have thought that all the deals in the market would make you lot realise that when a big player wants to do something, it simply happens. BHP and Lundin teaming up for Filo should have taught you that.

SolGold is no longer the big beast that we all hoped it would be. Best case it'll go for a couple of billion, worst case it'll be a bust and the mid case is probably £800m-£1.2bn. IMO, this is no longer significant enough, especially with the fairly recent emergence of a couple of promising assets, to prompt the charade you're hoping for from the big players.

Add is likely much closer to the truth. The big shareholders will be very reluctant to chase their money with fresh cash. It's a question of where Franco and Osisko decide to pull the plug. The answer to that is dictated by what Scott and Co achieve in 2025.
