Red - yet again you selectively choose quotes and regurgitate them without context. This is beginning to amount to defamation and I won't take it lying down.
The 15-20p was a discussion about a change of control imminently after the election. 100-200% growth in a short period of time sounds pretty realistic without being over the top. You should try it!
At the end of the day Red, you can't speak for anyone but yourself and Mrs Redknight. You don't speak for the BoD, you don't speak for the major shareholders and you don't speak for any other retail holdings apart from yours and Mrs RK's. It's pretty mad that I have to point that out but here we are.
If Barrick or an unnamed party were to enter the fray, they would need to garner the support of existing holders to the tune of at least 50% to be successful. I believe Mather, the Canadians plus many of the small insti's, many of the retail, etc is their best route to achieving this but it's a lot of work and wouldn't be the typical way those attempts work.
I don't believe BHP and Jiangxi will get together. BHP are relative outcasts now. They have been for some time. I think there's a chance that Newmont and Jiangxi could come together but even that is a relative longshot.
You have been rightfully picked up on the desperate mention of Mitsui. Very fleetingly linked with Cascabel 4 years ago but another who seemingly didn't follow up their interest.
I don't need to labour on Mather's and DGR's position. Maxit wanted an exit two years ago, as did Irwin. Middelkoop will run at the first whiff of an exit (he has other plays). BHP has irons in other fires. Newmont is consolidating ahead of the next M&A cycle. The book is stale Redknight and that works against us.
This could quite easily be in a bit of bother if Gonzales wins and the mood music turns against us. Lets hope it doesn't because we've just had 18 months of supportive pro business government and bullish metal prices and our stock is depleted and battered.
PS - how do you know what people are posting when they are filtered? You read filtered and unfiltered boards? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the filter?
