...and now after loading the daily chart on my program the daily stochastics has just broken below the 80 level. No news tomorrow = a further fall according to all indicators.

Yeah agree with that chart although the inverted H&S does seem a bit vague. It fits in well with a relatively bearish divergence on the daily MACD, the 50% Fib retracement from the bottom in early Jan, and the double resistance at 1.45p at the end of Jan!! All in all if it does go to around the 1.5p level then its a buy for me. News is key.

Yes I know the story very well having bought my first shares about 5 years ago!! This definitely has potential...now....having watched the disaster over the last 2-3 years. I`m surprised this `blog` didn`t include the tax offset potential in Australia! The turnaround has started but will need some good drilling results to get it moving in a big way, so still early days but the tipsters have bought this to the attention of new interest. Could see some volatility now and traders will be watching closely for some bargain moves. The annual financial report is due so should be interesting to see the reaction when it comes.

Thanks for that gibsonj45...( you`re not wayne Gibson are you?) Seems strange to me that on the day of the tip when it started moving there were a good number of `what looked like` buys (because of the close??) at or above 2.0p - 2.15p! If price does go to about 2.5p then taking the spread into consideration there`s not going to be much more than a 15% - 20% gain, so not worth too much excitement considering the risk. I wonder what price this guy bought at, how many, when, and how long he intends to keep ALL of them?? This is why I used the word `dodgy` the other day, and why I would never buy a tip. The ones that bought above 2.0p will now be kicking themselves with a sell price 20% below their buy price. They may not have been aware of the ECR story so impulse took over, but the time to have bought these would have been first thing on the morning of the announcement of the Chinese investors....@~1.25p. That would be my guess as to when TW bought in. Of course if price drops that low again then I would expect another massive volume day. Price does seem to be trickling down so its just a matter of how low can it go. Need RNS`s from the company for a real chance to assess where they are and what is coming next, rather than a tipster with a holding ramping his own interests.

Can someone reveal this hushed up secret tip with some substance now, its been nearly a week, so the effect they wanted has worn off and the subscription payers have `got in early`!! Nobody has said any more than 2.5p+ or ZM saying 4p was a possible target if it stays above the 200 day MA. Another poster on here stated.........Note that Zak Mir targeted 4p as an initial target. Strong news flow will really help this kick on He didn`t answer when asked what it was based on and hasn`t been back on since. ZM was probably just making a charting observation but it would be interesting if someone else could copy the guts of the TW tip so that we can read what was `actually` said.

Sorry mercman7, but `MM`s games` is an old chestnut that disgruntled shareholders/posters trot out when the sp does what they don`t want it to. MM`s are required to fill orders and react to trading sequences as they happen according to demand and supply. This was always going to retrace after an `artificial` rise on the back of a tip by someone who apparently is also a holder here(???). I don`t know for sure if that`s true but it certainly smells a bit dodgy to me if it is. Nothing`s changed in the company from the close of 1.7p last Friday, so it was always going to get sold in to by some, especially if they bought around 1p. Things do look rosier for ECR because of the new BOD but they haven`t even received the clearance to `start` drilling yet, let alone finding an encouraging amount of gold in the results. I had expected some `real` news from the company this week, maybe something unexpected, but it didn`t come, and when price bounced back off the 200 day EMA twice then traders obviously deduced that this little run had hit its limit (for now) and decided to sell now that it had stopped rising and started its reversal. They will now probably wait for news to react to, buying in again, or waiting for price to drop significantly enough for them not to be able to resist a new punt. The 50% Fib Retracement level is 1.65p ???? The next piece of news could also be the Annual Financial Report (last year was 7th March) and I`m not sure whether that will inspire too many to buy at this stage. This recent rise has been driven by Chinese investors, but the `extra` move was probably too much hype and sentiment due to some crafted words by a professional `tipster` claiming 4p!!. Tips are for waiters IMO! 4p? Yes, but not in the next few weeks or even months unless there are some significant `real` developments.

The drilling programme at Byron will commence once EL5433 has been transferred to MGA and the Section 44 Consent has also been transferred. The Directors are confident that the drilling will be completed in the next two to three months. Further announcements will be made as information becomes available regarding commencement of drilling at the Bailieston project, on renewal of the Avoca project licence (EL5387), on transfer of the Avoca and Bailieston (EL5433) licences to MGA, and when the new licences EL6278 and EL6280 have been granted to MGA.

kelladee You do understand how a consolidation works don`t you? 10,000 shares @ 10p is equal to 1000 shares @ £1...etc....you haven`t lost any money in the consolidation, they just changed the value of each one and adjusted your holding to suit.

Good find Davbro68 I think Craig Brown is like night and day compared to Stephen Clayson. Moved very quickly to get some Chinese involvement having worked with them very successfully in the past. Also post SC he has moved to put a considerably experienced team together at ECR and you can tell by his manner and enthusiasm that he has a proper plan to take ECR to the next level. Very pleased to have been topping up lately at these levels and happy to hold for the foreseeable future. It reminds me of when SOLG had a new CEO come in about 3 or 4 years ago, I topped up my holding at 1.75p and within a couple of months I sold at around 12.5p for a nice £3k profit. Alas I didn`t repeat the process when they dropped back down because they ran out of money to progress their drill targets and were in the brown stuff for a while until the big investors came in, so I missed the big rise from 1.5p to 40pish where it is today. Hey ho. But it shows how quickly things can turn around and with the commodities cycle on a new uptrend I`m not going to miss out on the potential here at ECR. Not saying that we are due that sort of rise, but we could be with the Chinese getting involved. Do your own research.

..that these Chinese investors are not only locked in for `at least` 12 months, but in fact Craig Brown alluded to the fact that this 12 mnth period just represents the start of the investment path with these new `partners`, and that more money is available as and when needed!! Ideal! Plenty of small goldies would love to have that sort of backing, so the due diligence which would have been undertaken must have shown something very attractive, which is great news for ECR, and its shareholders. Hence the strength of the share price on very high volume since the announcement...onwards and upwards :-) As Craig Brown CEO stated recently...``the Company is set to enter a particularly exciting period with plenty of news flow.” ps. They do tend to have a history of RNS`s coming out during the day aswell, rather than always being at 07:00AM....so keep your eyes peeled otherwise you could be too late getting your shares while they are still in this low bargain basement level. When the sp doubles from here you might look back and think you wish you`d have bought at what would have been `buy one get one free` ha ha ha ha!

guess what, Johnyderampy is also Johnyrampy over on Hydrodec, an oil recycling company with some patented technology. He`s ramping it saying it`s due for lift off, so I had a close look at the chart. But you don`t need to look that close to see the striking similarities to ECR`s chart..here`s the list. 1. Close to all time low 2. Recent big spike of....yes 140%!!! Since retraced back down to the start of the spike price and now moving back up, hence Johny ramping! 3. SP in the low pennies so large % potential profit 4. Price in a `bowling` shaped pattern with moving averages turning up 5. Recovery stock with a positive update recently with a delayed effect, but a week later price spiked from 2p to 3.45p in two days. 6. Very active discussion on this website (HYR) 7. Very high volume on the spike days 8. People over on the discussion even quoting a target of 10p ha ha ha! In fact after having a brief look I put them straight in my watchlist...I`m interested, the chart looks perfect with what looks like the start of a recent double bottom pattern developing. Thanks Johny. How uncanny that the recovery story and chart pattern are almost bang on the same as ECR! Hmmmm...scratches chin.... So I had a word with my mate Sherlock and he recons that Johnydevious is doing exactly what I thought and said, that is he goes after good recovery stocks because of the potential for high % returns, particularly one`s in the low pennies. A very cunning plan Johny, but its time to come clean and admit it...you are preparing to buy ECR but just want them to drop back on a bit of profit taking don`t you. What`s your buy target ECR?

...this troll, Johnyderampy only joined this site `after` Mondays RNS about the Chinese investment, why do you think he did that. Its easy to check his history, just click on his name after you log in. He is targeting ECR for a low buy and a decent profit, so now that there may be a bit of a gap until the next news (although could be tomorrow after the comment by CB that ``the company are set to enter a particularly exciting period with plenty of news flow``) he will be trying to pounce hardest to engage posters to talk about old historic failings, or claiming sp is `down again`...which is particularly hilarious considering that running up to the end of 2016 price was hovering around 0.7p!! So now we`re down again to 1.55p!!!! Ha ha ha! He saw the rise, which was about 140%!!! and thought...there`s my next baby!! So joined immediatley with the sole purpose of talking down ECR so that he gets his buy price. These derampers do that, they just talk shyte trying to rattle peoples cages into replying, and once you do he`s got ya, it`s an old tried and tested strategy to attempt to bring negativity to the discussion.... remember he only registered on LSE after Mondays RNS. Make no bones about it, he can smell the next price rise like a Great White smells blood, and wants to get in as low as possible to increase the % of profit. Now I`ve got great respect for real sharks, but not this type of gutless scum, they prey on peoples urge to protect their investments by baiting them with nonsense. DON`T BITE, JUST TAKE THE P**S AND YOU HAVE WON! I really hope the next news is due soon and catches the leech out, because once the price has risen enough to reduce the largest % gains then it`ll be wheeeeeeere`s Johny! Because this parasite will have moved on to the next host! SP is recovering nicely under very high volume and this is just the start of the new company and its journey so no need to get too defensive with this vacuous balloon!
