RE: To the inexperienced23 Jan 2021 12:57
Renroc, good points made, let me explain further what my points are.
Firstly Mr Akers, I shouldn`t have lumped him in with the other two because he has closer ties to DEV with his 50m purchase from Chris Jeffries which if I remember have a tie in clause attached.
The other two on the other hand are a bitter sweet situation, they buy lots of shares off the seller over the last few months and without them the price would be a lot lower, I get that.
But that gives two people a lot more power over where the sp is going, up or down, and thats the bitter bit, they have the power to take the sp back to 10p in one day!!
I don`t know these people from adam, and by all accounts they are genuine...but I can`t know that for sure, so my commitment is to my portfolio and how I control it, not be swayed by some anonymous report by some anonymous person I will never meet, about a large shareholder`s commitment to long term holding, whom I will also never meet.
The stock market is ruthless, I don`t need to inform anybody of that (I hope), and these professional type investors are rich for a reason, they know how to play it, specially with the kind of financial clout they have....they have bought the trump cards!
They have responsibility to look after their families and themselves, and lets face it, the vast majority of shareholders talk up their own positions...obviously, and maybe from time to time tell little porky pies to bolster and secure that position, so for example Johnson I think stated he and his family now owns £5m worth of shares and is still looking to 10 bag from there...really? What about his missus, does she also have that plan inside her head.
Firstly its a bit `vomity` for Brits to hear others bragging about their wealth, but thats another story.
So he wants us to believe that he honestly plans to not sell a bean before the sp is £2, have I got that right? So another form of blowing his trumpet, or sounding off on his rooftop...I`m always wary of people who do that.
So, I don`t believe it, purely on financial expertise any professional adviser would tell you to sell half when you`ve doubled or trebled your money, or something similar to protect your portfolio...money management!
Neither of these guys are tied in to a contract with DEV whereby they can`t sell for a year or two, they`re on the open market.
We haven`t seen hide nor hair of this multiple delayed prospectus yet, and people seem to be convinced before the event that its going to blow the sp in to orbit, I`ve been on other shares where a prospectus is released and you wouldn`t have noticed just looking at the sp.
So I`m still holding, for my own reasons not just hanging on coat tails, but lets wait for the prospectus to reveal all, and lets see how the market reacts to it.
Then I`ll make my own decision how I react, not be guided by what some anonymous person on twitter says they are going to do.
Price, open, close, volume, charts and RNS`s, are what guide my
