AIM listed JAY did exactly the same listing as ALGW on the 9th Nov; just over a month ago. They are now trading up 30.25%

I’m thinking the main point of US exposure is to attract HNW buying the FUNDS.
If I have $300m, the shares aren’t much use. I don’t want to buy a whole company .

Just thinking this will offer an opportunity for non-HNW investors to participate in ALGW through shares. Not everyone has $50 under the bed to invest in the funds.

Jeez, this is like rocket fuel for the shares. Hanging on tightly, very tightly.

We all know the ALGW snowball is rolling and getting bigger. Yes there’ll be some share price ups and downs but will they be tradable? Will you be able to buy again in quantity once sold out?
So if the snowball is heading down a steep long hill - just let it go.

You’re right Terry. If I had a pile of dosh I’d invest in Blackoak (or one of the competitors). If we get to 15p + it might happen in reality.
Even exponential curves start with a moderate rise. With patience though, I’m planning to be there when it goes vertical

Gunna take off eventually. Bonds are essentially a negative return after inflation, gold is the highest price since 2012 (I’m actually selling some of mine at the mo- I ain’t got much though). So uncorrelated opportunities are diminished leaving the door open for alternative alternatives like investing in music royalties and, of course, what we do.
If we dip again I’m going to be adding again. ... the way it goes at the moment.
Roll on vaccines and herd immunity in the US.

If we can get to 2.5p and hold for a week I’d say we’ve broken out.

TBH buying shares in ALGW is like finding a a genuine Lois Wain at a Black Friday boot sale.

Glad I bought mine earlier. I occasionally wonder if flurries of buys coincide with new investment in BOAG. If you’re investing a chunk you might anticipate a SP rise and take a position in the company as well. I know I would.

SP seems to be rolling round, even bought a few more today. Still got a bit of powder dry just in case of further dips but have plenty of these.
I suppose the big news would be the RCF. I imagine the BOAG will be taking AUM in dribs and drabs, nothing that's going to shift the share price by reporting each small amount. Best to wait for reporting periods.
CV19 rampaging in the US. Sooner vaccine is out the better.

Know how you feel JG and wondered the same about Giles since we haven’t moved anywhere for a year. Moreover I’m sure folk have been selling Alpha to take advantage of post vaccine share increases. Giles seems a nice chap and wealthy etc, but I don’t know whether he makes good decisions. The fact that he has a lot at stake may make him more emotional and irrational. I don’t mean to sound condescending but I’ve followed knowledgable people on bulletin boards into share price craters.
What we all need is a bit of luck. No one knows if we’ll get that here, but if we do, we’ll be off to the races. The CV19 vaccine helps btw.
Happy to give it another year at least, but I have enough shares for now (unless the price gets silly).

So when the share price goes into minus figures, does that mean
1/ shareholders are short?
2/ shareholder will have to pay interest on their position?
3/ There will be a consolidation before the price turns minus and the dilution will start all over again.
4/ The share price can not be a minus price.

You get the impression the share-price is going to stay in this zone ‘till after Xmas. One hell of a triangle forming on the 3 year chart. Problem is, if you sell, you might not be able to return and buy large amounts following a break out.
The alternative is to sit tight and accumulate on weakness.
When would next news be? AGM soon?
