Yes PIs feel badly treated by i3e, but I tend to think it’s because the SP has retraced following the acquisition. I agree with Tony that we are in an acquisition cycle currently, and share buy backs will come. Therefore happy to trust the company to get on with their business rather than blocking optionality by voting against.
If i3e didn’t care about shareholder interest, they wouldn’t be paying me £2k in divis next month.

In total 4m shares traded representing about 0.5% of the issue. Not all sells either and yet down 4%. MMs moving the shareprice with their hands LOL.
At least my dividends will buy more shares when reinvested.

Let’s say I’m a fat, ugly market maker.
Maiden dividend due Aug 6th.
Payout is approx £1.5m and a lot of that will be reinvested (I have a good idea how much from the retail brokers, txs guys). Therefore, need to find about 6 million shares.
So let’s crash the SP on the acquisition and load up on cheap shares - tee hee (“shhhh…. They’re going for it …ppffff”).
Okay, now slowly raise the price back up to Aug 6th, loads of time to do this, and collect the profit from the automatic purchases.

Off topic, but someone asked earlier.
I’m lucky enough to have bet on England and Italy to win. Since they’re both in the final and I’ll win either way, I’m using the guaranteed profit to place a risky bet. I selected Kane or Maguire to score with a header @ about 10/1 on PP. If that one comes off, the profits will buy more i3e.
If not, well at least my original stake is returned.

That’s got to be the best way for a longterm dividend play. Consequently there a changing of the guard. Trader exit and investors enter.

Tempted to wonder if they’ll sell North Sea assets and do a share buyback.
They seem somewhat tangential and a distraction.
