It depends on whether the SP rise is underpinned by 'jam today' or the promise of 'jam tomorrow'.
If you look at the recent rise in ALGW, it based on the promise of a credit facility which didn't materialise. Shareprice collapsed (this type of boom and bust happens all the time on AIM).
But when a company has the fundamentals to underpin the price, the SP dips get bought into and the price continues to rise. For example, a few years back I sold out of Caledon Resources (mining coke in Oz). I didn't think the price could go any higher and didn't want to loose the small fortune I'd gained. But the price was backed by profit and it ended up doubling prior to a hostile takeover.
I3E is also underpinned by profit; dividends don't lie; and they have years of production ahead. I can't even imagine this share being back at 10p; it would suggest a totally broken market, and yet it was there just a few months ago.

Oil and Gas, like mining, is a wasting industry. If you’ve got inventory going out the front door, you need inventory coming in the back door.
Second, their business model is to acquire assets when companies are stressed. So the timing is wrong currently.
Maybe this is the reason why your concerns are unfounded. This uptrend has a while to go yet IMO. We’re in an oil super cycle likely to last for the rest of the decade.
So if you sold out, see you.

You could buy shares in EOG within your ISA for exposure to Serenity. Because of the shareplacing they're still on the low side and predicted to rise to 5p by the spud. They also have news due on their Wressle onshore UK production soon. You could get 75-100% return from EOG to plough into I3E within your ISA, or continue to hold EOG which, if serenity comes off, could be a future star.
It's a risk for sure, but that's the market.

Suggest you don't reinvest.
There is the possibility of a special dividend later in the year. Could give you as much as another £105 if you're lucky.
In sum, a significant share price increase will serve you far better with 10k shares.
If you have a large holding in an ISA though, a dividend can enable you to input more than the £20k max each year. Only way to make money Bro.

Also bought EOG today 2.08p. I could wait, but todays drop was met with a lot of buying; will buy more if they go sub 2p.
Incidentally upgrade news on their Wressle production is due to drop next month.

I think there’s a pennant forming on the chart. Suggests a couple more weeks of consolidation.

The recent spike in EOG was because of the serenity deal coming to fruition. If the deal falters, EOG goes sub 1p IMV.

No need to ramp this company. Just check their production and the price of oil. I3e are totally minting.

Yes the dividends are set, but a special dividend is likely to be substantial. 7-8x the monthly rate. This will negatively impact the share price on ex-divi day (as fly-by-night investors pile in for the divi and pile out afterwards).
An alternative would be a share buyback. This would encourage long term investing for a monthly return which will be enhanced (fewer shares to distribute cash to). It will have a positive impact on the SP but reduce liquidity (to a degree).
I favour the latter approach.

Look at the one year chart for i3E.... Is it going up or down?.... UP ..... Then buy and hold.
Everything else is a random walk.
