One year ago today was the start of the rise that took us up to the highs (at the time).

We gained 9% over the next week..

At these prices today, a 9% rise would put us at £20.45 a share, which would be an awesome Christmas present.

TUI regained it's loss today, and currently went from MINUS 6% earlier today to PLUS 2%...!!!!!

IAG has been re-rated now to a strong Buy, new target is £4 a share...

We need Carnival to be upgraded, as we have now hit the 12 month high analyst expectations, so without a re-rate we will potentially be sitting here for a while.

So TUI today has taken a 5% hit because they have had a run and their results didn't smash expectations, only beat them...

Analysts say we should have 7c EPS, but in real terms we probably need at least 10c EPS to justify the run, and a further positive update for the future. Any negatives and we drop, not hitting EPS above 7c, and we drop....let's just hope we can smash every line in a week.

We obviously hit the ceiling at £19.33

Good news for a change is that Carnival is in line with RCL/NCL, so this is an industry thing and overall Global sentiment thing rather than a Carnival thing.

Good on you. Great price at £17+, although in a year or two, assuming no wars, it will be £20+.

The problem with these type of stocks that anyone getting in post covid is that they have bounced and bounced around for a long time, and everyone just thinks it will continue, but it won't. The Stock market pre covid wasn't like that.

But, diversification is the right thing, Although I do love Carnival and IAG, and am still holding too much really, but just let them go.!

Me and OJ are just fine, and very nice people, but the others aren't, so just ignore all their posts

Debt in 2025 will be paid down, or refinanced at a much lower rate. I haven't checked the notes and dates etc. but they already refinanced some and they may be already done.

Realistically, if you are in your 40's, or less, then Carnival, IAG, TUI etc. i.e. all travel stocks, in the next 10 years will probably treble, unless there are wars, or covids.... so hold for gold.

2,700 shares is a great holding for someone younger, so well done, and now sitting on a £22k profit, the reality is that this can only eventually go up.

At some point it will drop, like all shares, the days of huge swings up and down seem to be behind us now so the "day trading" will stop.

It's £18.31 a share....... and what's even worse is that I realised this morning I don't have 25,000 shares, I only have 22,500 shares.... so obviously I "dispersed" more than I intended to...... which is very annoying...

When this was drop drop drop everyone was on here moaning, and now nobody is on here celebrating.!!!!!

So rather than streamlining, they are moving Presidents around from one part of the group to another part of the group.

Each Brand has a President, Head of each section, Finance, Sales etc. etc. etc. etc. for each of the Carnival Brands....

and that is why our overheads are so so so so so much.........!!!!!!!!!!
