Looks like Recession fears + shutdown fears are taking hold.

Oil dropping with Travel dropping with Netflix going up is never a good combination, that means nobody travels anywhere and everyone sits at home watching TV.!

My HSBC Premier Account provides free travel insurance, you can add all previous conditions which unless you have had major issues normally are simply free to add. Obviously aware of the age gap between you and I, so luckily currently have lots of conditions, but none major.!!

I would look to see whether they, or any of the Premium/Premier Accounts would suit your needs if the general travel insurances have become too much.

Paying £12 a month for Barclays Premier for example, or HSBC Premier might be the alternative.

Ps. At exactly 10am this morning the price was £19.865. :-)

£12k....... I will have done 25 cruises this year, all in Suites, with the exception of the upcoming Barcelona>Africa>Singapore, 35 nights, and my total outlay was less than £12k.

You need to come on the Royal cruise in June next year.!

It drops and then comes back up.

It goes Up and then comes back down.

Eventually it will be Up.

However Exchange Rate has changed from 1.3445 down to 1.3406.

Therefore $26.55 / 1.3406 = £19.80

UK Closed at $26.30 (Currently it's $26.40)

The drop is pure US going into shutdown fear mode.

Most Tech down by over 1% except Nvidia, Most Travel down over 1%, all shutdown fear. It will either drop further if nothing's agreed, or will bounce when there is an announcement.....

It's funny though how I went into sell at that moment in time, and it had dropped. 10 seconds earlier and that would have been a perfect "day trade"

Now that was funny.

I looked, it was 2033. I thought, well, that's a good days return, went in to sell, and the price I got was 1994. I thought, no way, looked back at the screen, and yep. It had dropped 39p..... in 3 minutes...

Carnival has done me proud over the last 3+ years.

At one stage I had 100k shares, and have done very very well.

Luckily my big buys/sells have worked out extremely well for me.

By the end of 2026 Carnival will be £30, it's just whether you believe you can make more elsewhere.

Of course, I've dumped a load into Wizz Air......although still up, I've dropped 15% in the last month.!

UK Closed at $26.34. US Closed at $26.59...... That is a 25c gain...... 18.5p gain.....

However, the Exchange Rate is 1.3435 now, therefore UK Price equivalent is now £19.79.

So somewhere between £19.79 to £19.81 for the morning like for like.

The World Order supports the Gaza deal. Now it's up to Hamas to Agree. If that happens, all travel should pop.

Usually after the UK Close the UK Gains after a big drop like this, but I'm double gambling.

This will still be £25 for 2025 though, so I'm not going to lose out, in the end.
